They claim they are using iPS cells.
Let’s hope they have something that works.
On their website “INVITROHAIR DOES NOT PERFORM ANY TREATMENTS NEITHER PROVIDES CONSULTATIONS TO PATIENTS DIRECTLY.”, so what do they do? Looks very sketchy to me.
It says they have “affiliated clinicians” in Belgium, the UK and the USA, but doesn’t say who they are. You’re right, looks very sketchy.

It appears they are using iPS cells to create all necessary cells including DP cells in order to generate new hair germs in the lab (“This work has led us to obtain a fully developed denovo hair follicle“).
And they didn’t learn this during their initial hair R&D but they learned it from previous tissue engineering studies that they had already concluded (“The main activities of the company have been in tissue engineering of 3D human tissues engineering based on IPSC reprogramming “).
So in theory they already know how to convert appropriate cells into iPS cells, and how to convert iPS cells into any other tissue. That puts them ahead of Ricken project technology-wise. Because even Ricken’s protocol needs healthy follicles to proceed.
The main setback for them are finances. They are yet to find investor.
And the price for most of us (“So we’re reaching for a complete transplantation therapy set up not more than 50k to 75k € in regards to NW7 “).
