From what I see its same ole same ole, research after research but nothing in the pipeline and no cure in the distance future. Or is there a cure coming??

I did read the threads and it seems like bunch of highschoolers going at each other. I doubt there will be any cure for the time being, it may take several more years. I will be back in couple of months and hopefully I’m wrong. lol

I am also back after a few months, I read a couple threads, lost interest very quickly, most are bickering posts between spanish dude and some guy, can someone post a quick update in 1 or 2 paragraphs what have I misssed or what’s exciting these days in hair research?

histogen (which is trying to be faster) wants to sell in asia in 2013 (so 2-2.5 years from now) and aderans by 2014 “everywhere” (so 3-3.5 years to wait)
if we are lucky we should see the first treatment in 2 years but we need to be A LOT lucky 
but a chance does exist
the famous “5 years” waiting NOW means we will have our hair back in 2016, both aderans and histogen are planning to sell at least 2-3 years before that date, so don’t believe who say “5 years as usual” because they lie
but keep in mind that the prediction as in the past CAN be wrong… by now we have no reason to think they will fail

Don’t forget Follica either, no one knows how far a long they are in development, there’s still a small chance that they could be further along than anyone else, we can but hope.

yeah you’re right follica too but frankly I guess they’re far from the market… our best and concrete hope are histogen and aderans which can solve our problem, even if follica seems to be a better and solid approach, histogen and aderans are much closer to us 
It is becoming pretty reasonable to hope that some form of HM really will be coming in 5 years. We think the hairs are terminal & normal looking so far. We think they will not go bald again quickly.
We are not sure about growth direction. They have beaten that problem or they may not.
We are not sure how much coverage they can offer. It may be enough to put HTs out of business or it may only be enough to supply extra density along with regular HTs.

Follica has not even started trials yet, hence they are many years from a marketable product (>=10 years if they decide to get their solution approved in the US only).
And right now we can be optimistic because even with those “poor” Ari und Histogen Results right now, they would dramatically increase the chances to get back to a NW 1 even if you are high on the norwood scale.
But a negative side effect is, with the knowledge and the promising results, those waiting years will be a frigging pain in the as*

I absolutely agree with you
we can just hope they’ll reach the result as fast as they can in the next 2-3 years and not later
