Any stocks worth investing in the HM area?

well, it is indeed weird that Aderans Holdings is traded in Germany and France, but not in USA. Aderans has much of its business in USA (through Bosley).

Have you tried to contact Aderans?

» » I don’t know if these links will be of any help:

» Thank you for taking the time.
»
» But I’m already aware of that. They are not listed on any North American
» stock exchange from the looks of it. I am unable to invest in foreign
» stock markets.
»
» So it seems there is not a SINGLE company with stock listed in north
» america engaged in curing bladness. Its sad. Really sad.
»
» Bow your bald heads for a moment of silence.

» Many us of thought of creating an organization that’ll collect funds and
» then fund research in hairloss…I think that was way back in 2008. The
» problem is that while there are people willing to participate…there are
» also many naysayers even on this board…to the point calling us delusional

» bigger issue altogether.

» » Just like they have a walk for cancer, we need to have a walk for bald
» » men. 100,000 bald guys running in a marathon to cure this disease.
» Seen

»
» One businesswoman
» started the whole breastcancer phenomena…and now its become a
» multimillion dollar industry…with corporations having breast cancer walk
» days…food chains asking for donations about breast cancer…it being all
» over the media…butt load of government research funding and prevention
» programs. Men don’t even have a prostate cancer equivalent!..to convince
» people to donate money for baldness would be almost an impossible
» cause…because apparently baldmen are only good for cheap bald jokes.

My first post: you can’t compare breast cancer to hair loss. Nobody will take hair loss seriously, it’s like small breast women are organizing a march to lobby for more donations for big breast research, that ain’t gonna work.

i don’t get it either.

i will try contacting them.

i would have thought my balding brothers here would have more info but apparently not.

I contacted Histogen regarding investment related info and got the following reply :

“Thank you for your interest and message. In response to your inquiry, Histogen is a private company. We are currently seeking Series B financing, and would be happy to provide information about the investment opportunity if this would be of interest.”

I looked up what Series B meant. And found the following info :

  • Series A, Series B, Series C, etc. Generally, the progression and price of stock at these rounds is an indication that a company is progressing as expected. Investors become concerned when a company has raised too much money in too many rounds, considering it a sign of delayed progress.

  • Series A’, B’, and so on. Indicate small follow-on rounds that are integrated into the preceding round, generally on the same terms, to raise additional funds.

So looks like they are progressing but still not listed on the stock market and only open to private investors, am I right?

I have no idea Freddy.
Unless you are used to invest in these kind of things, and have certain understanding of the technology, I would recommend that you don’t risk your money. Remember what happened with ICX. Investors lost it all. And at the time, it looked like a safe bet.

its amazing to me there is not a SINGLE company that’s researching this on the stock market.

There is one company on the stock exchange who have some interest in developing something for hairloss, The company is called Luna Innovations and one of the divisions of their company Luna nanoWorks is doing the research, here’s the link to the main company with information about investing.

And here’s the link to nanoWorks who are doing the research.

I’m not sure how serious their work is or if the company itself is something to be taken seriously, maybe they would be more open with someone willing to invest but from what I remember when their research first became public knowledge there wasn’t much information coming from them. They haven’t tried it on humans as far as we know, but neither have Follica that we know of either and we still take them somewhat seriously. but they are on the stock market.

Thanks Dogstar.

They seem to be involved in a hodge podge of industries and it makes me wonder how focused they are. Do you know of any more (stock market listed) companies engaged in hair related research or is that it?
