ANAGELINE®, an anti-hair loss strategy

Hair health and wellness is the reflection of one’s social behaviour. The Cosmetic Industry and more specially - the field of hair cosmetics - is currently turning its attention to anti-hair loss products. Associated with the loss of physical force and power, hair loss starts at an early age and may very rapidly progress to total baldness.

SILAB, renowned for its expertise in the field of active ingredients from natural origin, has developed an anti-hair loss active ingredient extracted from white sweet lupine. ANAGELINE® rich in glutaminated peptides, trace elements and vitamins, has the power to revitalize hair growth.
To fight against alopecia, ANAGELINE®activates the anagen phase and acts simultaneously on the 3 principal factors controlling the hair cycle: hormone balance, vascular system and cell metabolism.

ANAGELINE® restores the hormonal balance. Tested at 0.25% on human fibroblasts ANAGELINE® shows a significant inhibiting effect (-18%) on the activity of 5α -reductase II, an enzyme responsible for the follicles miniaturization characteristic of androgenic alopecia.

ANAGELINE® improves the vascularization of the hair follicle. It stimulates the synthesis of a vascular growth factor, VEGF, that enables the vascular system development and favors the supply of nutrients. Tested at 0,5%, ANAGELINE®leads to a 30% increase of the synthesis of VEGF.

ANAGELINE® favors keratinization and hair growth. Tested at 1% on cultured keratinocytes, ANAGELINE® boosts the expression of mRNA coding for type 1 tranglutaminase (+44%), a marker of keratinocyte differentiation. By improving cell metabolism, ANAGELINE® stimulates hair growth.

Thanks to its simultaneous action on three essential factors of the hair cycle, ANAGELINE® favors hair growth. This effect has been proven in vivo after 12 weeks of treating balding subjects with ANAGELINE®. The study has shown a significant effect on hair density, shown by an increase in the number of hairs and an increase in the anagen/telogen ratio. ANAGELINE®, a genuine revitalizing cocktail to stimulate hair re-growth.

With its fully integrated R&D, Production and Marketing, SILAB is the perfect partner for the development of your next innovative, trend catching and effective active cosmetic products.

Does it say whether this is topical or oral supplement?

» Does it say whether this is topical or oral supplement?

Seems to be a topical…the question is where and when can we get it!

What exactly are the ingredients? It sound good but we all know how snake oil manufacturers can make anything sound impressive. This could very well be some of the usual stuff we have been using already, saw palmetto, biotin, niacin, procyanadin etc.

Seems interesting. Id like to see the actual studies.

Ok so it looks like the main ingredient is sweet white lupine extract. There are a bunch of foreign companies that seem to make creams/lotions with it.

Here is one I found…has other ingredients in it as well.

I wonder if we could find one with just 2% or 5% sweet white lupine extract.

Interesting find Jacob. What’s your take on it?

sounds a bit like BS

Welcome back Hangin:-P

I agree that it would be smart for someone to contact the company that did the study to see what the deal is.

In the meantime I found another website that seems to offer the extract. The translated version is here:

Sorry for all the posts…I haven’t figured out how to edit my posts yet…

Divine Skin just announced that they will be releasing a new version of Spectral DNC with sweet white lupine extract!!! It will be the only hairloss treatment in the world to contain Minoxidil and Anageline encapsulated in DS’s proprietary nanosomes

 It wouldn’t surprise me though…

Hangin’ thinks any topical is BS…he’s had so much experience with them :lookaround:

Here’s one place it’s available at. Gotta love these online translators

I wonder if Elsom could use it…although they’re not too keen on using ingredients from another company like that…for whatever reason. I’m sure they’d use the “lupin white man” extract- you could send them your links to sources.

Interesting

When I get a chance I will email the company that makes the anageline to inquire about the studies that were done. The stuff in Jacob’s link seems to be pretty cheap. High concentration as well. Couldn’t hurt to try it.

1: they show that finasteride only lowers DHT by 30% which is incorrect.

2: The treated group had less mRNA than the control which means that the hair in the treated group was less active not more active!!

How do these guys get away with it???

I ask that about various drug companies and the FDA every day.

It wouldn’t hurt to ask them for an explanation

Jacob what do you use for hair loss?

» 1: they show that finasteride only lowers DHT by 30% which is incorrect.

This could be correct if a) its in the tissue or b) its at a certain concentration. Then again according to Dr. Lee azelaic acid achieves DHT inhibition in the 90%'s.

» hair in the treated group was less active not more active!!

It says that Anageline boosts the expression of mRNA coding for type 1
tranglutaminase by +44% at 1% strength.

This is an interesting topical to me because it wouldn’t conflict with anything I’m using now. I like that it boosts VGEF and mRNA as well as has mild anti-dht affects, and its all natural.

» It says that Anageline boosts the expression of mRNA coding for type 1
» tranglutaminase by +44% at 1% strength.

but the graph shows less than 50% of the control mrna .

» Jacob what do you use for hair loss?

Topicals…Equisomin…ZormaZor…NanoScalp…and a custom one- all by Elsom Research. As well as FNS and Inflamil once a week or so
