Acell

» Bill … lets go straight here…if Im having it right …there are only 2
» regenerating “serious” products :1/of Acell.
» 2/Juvenista.
»
» So unless he is working for Juvenista I really dont see what other product
» he is talking about .My point is are you sure that it worked in the first
» place …did it regrow even skin so we will go further into investigating
» its success with hair ?
»
» Anyway, I guess this July we will be more informed about the reality of
» the situation and what to expect .

I’m not sure. Actually the guy e-mailed my brother (who is also a member of Hairsite). My brother and I are identical twins. He posts as Raptor on this site. Nobody wants the Acell extracellular matrix to work more that my brother and I. I do have some confidence in the product (especially after speaking to the company) but I just don’t want to set myself up for disappointment.

WIlly,

I think it would be great if you or your brother could get ahold of some ACELL and try it (wound a bald area), use the ACELL< and see if it had new hair growing in a couple of months. What do you have to lose…

ITs terrific both of you have been willing to look into ACELL and contact them. Its PRO-ACTIVE, which is so much nicer than other people on this board who simply whine and complain.

Best of luck and hope you can get ahold of some. Keep us abreast if you can:ok:

Did you mention acell for “human use”? 2 months ago they were saying that Acell needs to go through trials, and now all of the sudden they are just giving it away…just doesn’t sound right.

Also, if it is a true regenerative medicine then it should regrow hair on slick bald areas as well. You’d probably have to abrade it first to activate the repair process and then starting applying acell.

It says on their website they have clearance from the fda to release a commercial product immediately and that they plan to do so this year. Their vet grade product has been available for some time, if its true that its being released in july and you can get it with a perscription from your DR I cant imagine it would be for Acell-vet. One thing that bothers me is if you have to get at perscsiption from your dr, considering what it does, what would you get it for? I cant imagine dr’s perscribing it for anything! A severed finger? Surely it would be put to better use at a hospitals a+e dept?

it’s says 510(k) clearance from FDA - I have no idea what that means.

Btw, who would try to get it next month? Willy?

If Willy isn’t willing, where could I find some myself if you say it’ll be out next month?

To what a product is?
Can it make new hair?

Lets be realistic about all this. Only HT clinics should research this properly. Do you really want to see guys sandpapering or cutting themselves in their bathroom or kitchens to see if it works? Sounds a little silly to me. If the Acell powder does work and I personally feel that it will, then great! The next evolution of HT is now here and everyone can have hair.

If human grade Acell powder is truely available in July I really hope HT clinics that post on this forum can get their hands on some. Hopefully the research phase can be completed by the end of the year to prove the hair regrowth question.

Should this be the beginning of the end of the hair problem?

Yeah, that’s a good point. I know my doctor wouldn’t just prescribe me Acell b/c I wanted to put it on my scalp after an HT. It would be better if the HT doctors themselves get the stuff, and then add it to their HT procedures.

Acell has never been tested on hair growth…although the vet pics look promising we have no idea if it can regrow hair on a human or not…I wouldnt want to see anbody try anything drastic…If I could, I would probably want to try it in a very small experiment…maybe just a few fue’s on the side (to test donor regrowth) and maybe a dime sized area on top with dermabrasion (to see if it could just regrow hair on top without HT)…I would be willing to go that far to see if the stuff worked…provided there is a HT doctor willing to try it…

Honestly…I would probably want to try it on my body first (maybe my calf)…just remove a small section of skin (of course a doctor would do it)and apply Acell to see how/if the skin and body hair regenerated…I know this wouldnt assure results but would be a good indication of how it would work on the scalp…and then try the tests in the paragraph above if I was satisfied with the body hair test…

Again…I wouldnt want to see anybody rushing into anything drastic if they could get their hands on the Acell product…

This might be a solution to some…but the cost of such a number a grafts to be transplanted would need an even greater cost…

The whining & complaining are the only truthful comments on this forum.

cool!
