Could this be a valuable weapon for diffuse thinners? Hitzig said the results are good and he’s said he’s going to put up pictures next year in January. Has PRP alone worked well for anybody?

I inquired about PRP with Acell and was quoted 3000$ for one treatment
I didnt have prp with Acell. I had prp with Dr. Greco’s matrix.
Who quoted a PRP+Acell Treatment at $3,000?
That is outrageous for an experimental treatment.

I’ve just commented about this in the Hitzig thread, by the sounds of things they haven’t tried it on it’s own, which I find bizarre. Surely you would want to know what effects something has without the need for surgery, I just find this need for everything to be developed to be used alongside a hair transplant really depressing, it’s not addressing the problem for the majority of men losing their hair, the majority can’t afford transplants no matter how many things you develop to use with it, they are waiting for a next generation of treatments, and it looks like they’ll be waiting a long time yet.

Think about the possible implications of that experiment. If PRP+Acell worked to regrow hair on its own then it would be the end of the HT industry. The HT clinic’s aren’t in this for our benefit.
Just look at how quickly PRP was being embraced and tested compared to Acell when it was released. They avoided Acell for several years and yet they jumped on PRP right out of the gate. PRP looked like a good candidate to be sold to boost HT growth, whereas Acell was more of a threat to end HTs entirely.

Hitzig quoted 3000. Any yes, i agree that it’s an outrageous price. He mentioned something about the material having to be prepared by hand or something - i think to justify the price he’s charging. I don’t know what he’s refering to… is it the Acell company that’s still preparing thier material by hand and he has to purchase it at an exorbitant price? or is he talking about him having to mix it into the blood by hand? I don’t know. Either way it’s way too much money for something that i haven’t even seen a single photograph documenting regrowth. In his interviews he’s said he’s seen amazing results with it, so, i’ll be waiting to see those photos. Think we may be waiting a long time on that.

Actually, Hitzig posted in another forum that he would be putting out more pictures after New Years so it won’t be too long, I don’t know what the quality will be like, we’ll see soon enough.
