The patient was 30 years of age at the time of his first hair transplant and had been experiencing hair loss since his mid 20’s. While he hadn’t used any hair loss medication prior to his first hair transplant, he began using finasteride and minoxidil at the time of his first procedure and continues using them to this day.
His family history of hair loss includes significant baldness on his paternal side. His father was classified as a Norwood 5 and his uncles ranged between a Norwood class 5 to a class 7.
