4400 Grafts | 10 Months Hair Transplant Results | Hair Free and Hair Grow Clinic India

Today, we share the inspiring hair transplant journey of Shivanthari Singh, a 34-year-old patient from Surat, Gujarat. His story shows how the right diagnosis and treatment can bring remarkable change.

Patient Overview

  • Age: 34

  • Location: Surat, Gujarat

  • Health Status: No issues such as diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, allergies, or past surgeries

  • Family History: Father has baldness, increasing his genetic risk

  • Hair Loss Timeline:

    • Hair fall began 3–4 years ago.

    • Visible baldness developed over the last 1–2 years

    • Complete hairline loss with thinning in the frontal area

    • The mid-scalp showed mild thinning

Earlier treatments like minoxidil and multivitamins gave him only temporary, limited improvement.

Consultation at Hairfree Hairgrow Clinic

Shivanthari visited Dr. Jinkal Kunjadiya, a dermatologist known for her expertise in hair restoration. During the consultation:

  • Scalp and hair density were assessed using trichoscopy.

  • The donor area showed average-to-good density.

  • Hair type: thick, straight, and black

  • Determined to be an ideal candidate for transplantation

Dr. Jinkal explained the full procedure, expected results, and aftercare.

Treatment Plan

These treatments supported both the transplanted and existing hair.

Procedure Steps

1. Planning and Hairline Design

A personalized hairline was crafted according to his facial features and expectations. The frontal, middle, and temple regions were marked.

2. Pre-Procedure Checks

  • Allergy test for anesthesia (negative)

  • Scalp shaved and cleaned with antiseptic solutions

3. Anesthesia

Local anesthesia was administered using a vibration-assisted technique to reduce discomfort.

4. Slit Creation

Slits were made using a metal sapphire blade:

  • 1.2 mm for the hairline

  • 1.4 mm for other areas

Each slit was carefully placed to ensure a natural angle and direction.

5. Extraction of Grafts

  • Extracted using a 0.8 mm sterile titanium punch

  • Time taken: around 150 minutes

  • Total grafts: 4410

  • Graft breakdown:

    • 10% single-root grafts

    • 90% double- and triple-root grafts

The higher number of multi-root grafts promised better density.

6. Graft Storage

Grafts were stored at 4°C in RL solution within a graft-chilling system.

7. Implantation

Implantation was performed using K.E.E.P. implanters of different sizes for 1, 2, and 3 follicular units.
Total implantation time: 2–3 hours

After the procedure, a dressing was applied, and detailed aftercare instructions were given. A direct follow-up number was shared for any queries.

Recovery and Growth Journey

0–3 Months: Shedding Phase

  • About 60% of the implanted hair shed, as expected.

  • Two PRP sessions were done.

  • Existing mid-scalp hair responded well to treatment

  • The donor area healed fully within a month and returned to a normal look by the second or third month.

3–4 Months: Baby Hair Phase

  • New transplanted hair slowly began emerging.

  • The third PRP session boosted early growth.

5 Months: Visible Improvement

  • Existing hair gained density with treatment

  • The transplanted area started blending well

6–7 Months: Active Growth Phase

  • About 80% of the transplanted hair had grown

  • Haircuts were possible.

  • A booster PRP session was provided at 9 months.

10 Months: Final Results

Shivanthari achieved his full, natural-looking result:

  • Dense, even growth

  • Ability to style hair freely

  • Multiple haircuts were done for both the donor and the recipient areas

Only maintenance treatments, such as minoxidil and occasional PRP, were advised for future support.

Patient Experience

Shivanthari was delighted with his transformation. His confidence grew, and he felt satisfied with both the process and the outcome.
