Below there is an example of an FUE mega session performed recently at our clinic over three consecutive days. I have also included photos of the patient six days post op.
I just realised that this guy has very unusual angulation which has been managed well by the clinic. I would appreciate some comments on this by the surgeon.
While I am at it, could you explain why you take the FUE portion first and before the strip when you perform a hybrid procedure? This seems counterintuitive.
This is brilliant, I wouldn’t mind seeing more pictures like these ones, one of my biggest fears is how do I look when I return to work after the surgery, my company would not let me take more than 10 consecutive days off (including weekends), so it is crucial that I look as perfect as this guy when I go back to work.

This patients surgery looks excellent. Id say that after just two mega sessions,he should be set for a good ten years. Great work and thanks for posting the photos. Best,. J
Yes, the recovery is quite impressive seeing the 6 days post op photos. My own recovery is still ongoing and I am 7 weeks post op!
Usually you have to leave the scabs in the receipient area alone for 2-3 weeks, but this person seems to have already shed the scabs at 6 days. Following this there is usually redness or some form of dicoloration for a few more weeks.
Of course each person reacts differently. All in all, very impressive.

Any explanation why did this patient heal so much faster and better than other patients? Did he use any products that promote healing?

Dear YM,
At HDC clinic we attribute a lot of importance on the post op care of the newly implanted hair for our patients.
For those at which a three consecutive day FUE session is performed we advise they stay with us for at least a week so that we can offer them on a daily basis the necessary post op care.
This patient’s donor and recipient area looks so clean because he had stayed for a total of 10 days.
For those who want to stay only for the days of surgery we provide the necessary post op kit and written instructions to follow by themselves.

Dear Marcos,
Regarding the angulation the surgeon had to follow the same angle of his existing hair.
There are two main reasons we perform first FUE and then Strip to patients undergoing combination surgeries that wish to maximize their donor capabilities over three consecutive days.
Immediately after Strip the angles of the grafts above and below the sutures change slightly direction due to the stretching of the skin making them more difficult to extract with FUE.
Immediately after Strip there is some discomfort on the donor and we prefer not to work around it for the convenience of the patient.

Hi ak,
You are absolutely correct that each persons healing abilities differ however we have observed in general that FUE’s healing process is impressive.
Below are the photos of the patient undergoing today his third consecutive day of an FUE procedure and you can clearly see that 24 hours after the first day’s extraction at the end of second day the healing has already progresed.
I agree with everybody, excellent post op recovery pics, please remember to post 6 months pics to show the regrowth, it will mean nothing if this guy has the cleanest post op result but poor regrowth down the road.
