It wasn’t as if he were cue-ball bald before you started: looks like he had a good number of still productive follicles in his “bald” area to begin with (possibly even starting out with more productive follicles than you added).

Again, don’t get wrong–you still did a fine job.

This patient came in with a shaved head, because if he grew it, he looked much worse, with only a scattering of thin short weak vellous hair giving very poor coverage.
There were very few terminal hair, growing unevenly and only accentuated the baldness.

Thats why he and countless others shave it.

Thats why I put in extensive close ups of the “before” situation so it was clearly evident.

But I do take the point and I think there are too many examples where patients did have plenty of pre existing strong hair, and it is shaven in the “before” shots, and passed off later as a transplanted hair result.

This should always be questioned and taken into account.
