Intercytex has not changed their stance on the possible release of TRC and its doesn’t look like 2008 is in the works. In an email to their customer service department, I compared the TRC with Vavelta and asked if they would persue a similar commercial route. Here’s their response:
Thank you for the interest you have shown in our Intercytex products.
We currently estimate that ICX-TRC will be commercially available no earlier than 2010, however we do not yet know in which region it will be launched first. For more information on this product, and others, please see our website
If they planned on an eventual 2008 release wouldn’t they have come out with the announcement by now???

I’ve had emails off Intercytex in the past. The last one amounted to what I’ve highlighted only - Are you special?
Who was email signed by? How about a full email copy and pasted?
Yes casanova, we believe in you but for be sure, post here the email text, with all the data, like the date the address and all the info…
In an other forum a lot of people recently have mailed ICX, but nobody have answers! It’s strange that they say to you info about the commercial program…

Their website clearly states the same thing. Seeings how phase II will not be complete until 2008 at the earliest, it is unrealistic to expect this treatment to be marketed in 2008. Yes, it is possible, but so is hitting the lottery. Currently, Kemp has his fingers crossed for a 2010 release, but don’t count on it.

I feel the same way. I think something will be out that is not as polished as what will be available three or four years later, but a decently working product that can provide as much new growth as using finasteride, minox, and nizoral together (the big three) would be good enough to market due to the fact the hair is permanent and that one can have more than one round of sessions hoping to get more from it. There is no reason to delay as long as the potential customers understand this----------------Im thinking right around 2010-11 somewhere in England.
» No secrete guys, you can email them yourself for the response - this seems

Most emails are signed by Katherine Harris.I’ve had quite a few in past which I openly shared with Forum - We’ve seen hoax emails before - So Dum asse thanks for providing a copy of your email,In other words they are still not stating anything to anyone. This is the same responce I’ve had from the Farjo Clinic the last couple of times I’ve phoned them!
Very similar to my email I received in May this year
*****, sorry, please just keep your eye on the website. I don’t have an
answer to your question.
» » 2008 is impossible… lets get real
»
» yes… and i think that all know this…
» but the real question is: when?
» They don’t say nothing, only confuse messages… i hope late 2009, or
» 2010…
That’s the thing, I’m still going for 2010, we have plenty of time so start saving up.
When the firm tells you they’re gonna make it “no sooner than 2010” and we’re in 2007…you can expect no sooner than end 2011, 2012 in reality. Think about Airbus, whatever company that had predicted estimates before the comercial launch of a product. Delays are never met, predicted schedules are a pipe dream, by definition.
hey TheGame and Nathan, how’s life in pipedreamland …? I personnally give more credit to Alec’s predictions than anyone elses by now
» Yeah guys… I think that they used to include the 2008’s small
» comercialization possibility in their web site. As it seems they don’t do
» anymore.
My personal, insignificant (because i don’t work in biotech) opinion is:
the definitive, perfect HM could be ready in 2010/11/12, not before.
But in 2009, or sooner, we don’t know, maybe they could release a procedure that is a first step to the perfection, a technique that works, but not for all, and can’t give “rasta hair” to a bald norwood 7 man… but can resolve cases of a norwood 1, or 2… (and not in one session)
Maybe is the famous “small scale commercialisation”?

If I remember correctly, they said it MIGHT happen depending on Phase II results and regulatory reviews. Note I said Might.
After the full phase 2 data is available, limited commercial release may be possible. But honestly, what would that truly mean?
From a complete business stand point, I believe this would be only a few procedures done on a few high net worth individuals willing to dish out 10’s of thousands or more for the possibility of regaining some hair. There has always been a small portion of the population willing to try out new technology at high prices. Since there are no substitutes, ICX can charge whatever it wants and though they aren’t hurting terribly financially, they definitely could use some added cash flow. As for when they’ll announce their intentions, that’s still up in the air - especially since phase II results thus far have been less than spectacular.
So in light of this new information given from their phase two results and their pattern of delays, 2008 still seems to be a long shot. It wouldn’t surprise me if they pushed this announcement back another 6 months or so. Obliviously, this will try all of our patients.
