It has been one month since I started a natural regimen inspired by research papers, patent applications and other good advice found on hairsite. I was almost completely bald on the crown but to my great satisfaction, I have achieved decent regrowth in the first month, which can be seen in the selection below (note the two small birth marks at the centre of the picture)
I will post on a monthly basis - hopefully this is only the beginning!

Herbal extracts and natural soap (olive oil based). The herbs are rosemary, thyme, sage, lavender. I have also added licorice root and polygonium multiflorum root. I make it by boiling the herbs and roots and mix it with the melted soap.
Great photo comparison, reminds me of Waseda. Can you post a picture that shows the overall thinning of the entire head? Just wonder what norwood class are you.

The topical is grape seed flour, licorice root and polygonium multiflorum root extracted i 60% methanol. I use around 100 gram of GS flour with 0,5 liters of methanol, add a few ounces of chopped licorice root and a few slices of the PM root and let it dissolve in a sealed glass bottle.
Methanol (Wood Alcohol) is poisonous and is no meant to be applied to the skin. You probably should switch to either ethanol (grain alcohol) or isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol.

Im very glad you have included polygonium multiflorum in your topical.
The other factors that you may want to look into are inflammation and bloodflow and add further ingredients to cover these.

» Sorry my mistake - it is Ethanol of course
whatever you are doing keep it up, its working
i still say you should get on a super hair vitamin
One observation (do correct me if it’s just my imagination), in all after pics your scalp has LESS pinkness in it - probably a sign of less inflammation. BTW, did you scalp used to itch a lot? how is it now?
I have very itchy scalp and after looking at your pics, I’m may just start following your regime. When do you apply the oil…bedtime?
