What exactly is scalp pigmentation? tattoo?

Micro scalp pigmentation is the use of medical grade pigments of various tone contrasts that are applied to the scalp to increase the contrast between the skin and any surrounding hair, blocking the skin complexion to give the illusion of greater density. It can be used to mimic shaved hair, or a full shaved head of hair as in this case above, or if there is enough surrounding hair it can be used to give the look of high density with long hair. Sometimes called a head tattoo the results can last for 3-5 years or longer before any significant fading and a touch up required. Unlike traditional tattooing the pigment only fades but not change colour, so even when fading it can look perfectly natural.

Scalp Micropigmentation (medical hairline tattoo) is the ultimate in non-surgical male and female scalp grooming; an incredible life-changing treatment where natural pigments are applied at the epidermal level of the scalp to replicate the natural appearance of real hair follicles or strands – depending on your hair loss extent, and desired look. Our method is regarded as the best treatment of its kind available in the world today, using only natural pigments and application methods. Scalp Micropigmentation is suitable for all types and stages of hair-loss, on all ages, colours and skin types.

what is the best electric shaver to use to keep the right blend between natural hair and the pigmentation?

Hi @kirklandism, it´s really different dependent on the amount of hair you have and the look you are trying to achieve. Some like a wet shave to have a slicker look whereas other prefer an electric shaver and the look that gives. Clippers can be used but sometimes it doesn´t cut the hair short enough and the vast majority will shave completely for the best look.
