Robert - 2300 FUHT - 11 mth update video

Patient Nickname - Robert,
Procedure - 2300 FUHT grafts,

The patient visited us for update, as promised, 11 months after his transplant.

He is happy with the progress and feels his hair restoration has made a big difference in his life. In his words “from an aging gentleman to a vigorous youth”.

The video shows the hair being brushed in different directions and a clip with the patient running his fingers through his hair.

Pretty good, only 2300 grafts although I think his hairline is a bit too straight.

Another very good looking result. I think with or without the HT, if he wanted to re-envigorate all he has to do is get a more trendy haircut!!!

I think a lot of results from your clinic are under estimated because there seems to be a cultural choice in india to get what is percieved in the west to be really crap hair cuts.

also I think a round shape hairline does not suit this guy.

I agree, it’s kind of weird that you see some spikes along the hairline, is that the way it is supposed to be? The yield is great but the hairline design is questionable.

So true, I am not a big fan of his hair cut either.

This is a better picture but it still looks artificial to me because of the man made spikes along the hairline.

This is a fine hairline by most standards but it aint no Armani.

Maybe I am too critical. Even the big close up picture doesn’t help. It actually enhances the flaw of the hairline. It lacks the subtleties of a natural hairline.

Dear Reiner,
The aim is to post such clear pictures and videos that nothing is left to imagination.

Regarding Robert’s case, please keep in mind that he has thicker calibre, coarser scalp donor hair.
(It looks natural in real life as can be seen in the video).

However, its no competition to the nature given hairlines because nature also puts in fine calibre, shorter hair to feather the hairline.

To acheive that, we require to put the finer calibre body hair (at say 10 to 15% in the front few rows).

However, Robert does not wish to follow that approach at present. He is pleased with his present hairline.

Its also noteworthy, that the patients with finer calibre donor hair or those with less skin hair color contrast will give a better impression of feathering even when only scalp FUHT is performed.

Regards,
Dr. A

Dear Marco,
Different people have different hairstyling preferences.
The conservative nature of Robert’s profession rules out very stylish, trendy hair styling options.

However, if you view the videoclip of Robert’s result, we have shown the hair being combed back and up. That should give a rough idea of what an alternate hairstyle would look on him.

Dr. A

I don’t think you are being realistic. Most people would kill for a hairline like this. It’s not as good as what you were born with, nothing will ever be.
