Rajiv - 3820 FUHT grafts (1 year update)

Dear forum readers,
Patient nicknamed Rajiv, had a NW 6 level of hairloss before he underwent the first stage of his hair restoration.
It consisted of 3820 FUHT grafts performed in 1 session to recreate an age appropriate but robust hairline and frontal areas. The crown swirl area will be transplanted in the 2nd session. Rajiv is happy with the result and visited us 1 year after his procedure.

Regards,
Dr. A

good…is it tricopytic closure called???

it doesn’t matter what it is called, there will always be a chance that the scar will widen. The best thing to do is to avoid strip transplant entirely.

ok friend i m agreed with u,but see that it is photografh after one year,in which scar would be widen, after that it is looking inpredictable, now there will be very less probability for widen more…in future
suppose it wides up to 4 mm in lifetime or future ,then after that there is no problem …,bcoz it will be hide easily…under exsisting haires.
i had scar of 1.2cm wide from starting as u can see in my previous surgery by Dr charu sharma ,after that i was able to hide it with 1.3 cm long existing hair near it…however it creat discomfort to me very much
as i read on internet there is advantages and disadvantages of strip method and also of FUE method.
as the cost of FUE is high due to more time taking during surgery.
so it may be out of budget for some patient,so for them patient i think strip is not a bad option.

Are you saying that if after the first year the strip scar doesn’t stretch, there will be less chance that it will stretch years later?

hi craig, you are right ,i m saying the same thing what you are saying,
i suppose the extreme condition of widen the scar as above
as in above photo u r seeing is is one year photo of scar, after it is looking unpridictable…and very less chance to expand…correct?

but as NeverAgain said "it doesn't matter what it is called, there will always be a chance that the scar will widen. The best thing to do is to avoid strip transplant entirely."

but if scar becomin almost undetectable after one year ,then there is no questin to avoid stri transplant entirely...as he said

are u agreed with my point?????

Dr arvind can u explain what is the maximum probabilty of a scar to stretch in future or life time after the relult u have shown in one year which is vey good …acoording t me

as nevertheagain said to avoid strip entirely...

i m not expert in hair transplant knowledge ,but what i have read on net there is advantages and limitations of strip method
ans similarly there is advantages and limitations of FUE also…
