Will hair grown with Minox stay in with Avodart?

Hi, I am on Avodart 0.5mg/day. Normally hair grown with Minoxidil falls out if you stop applying it. If I stay on Avodart, will I - in theory - keep the Minoxidil hairs if I stop applying Minox… or is the mechanism different?

It’s been firmly established over the years that finasteride is unable to maintain hair regrown with minoxidil, and there was even a case study about that reported in a medical journal. I think the same goes for Avodart, too.

Why do you want to stop the Minox? It sounds like thigns have been working well for you.
