What is going on with Trichoscience?

Trichoscience came out of nowhere, website had alot of info, good medical team etc. They seemed so confident that they even had a price up!

When I used to email them to ask questions they would always email back same day.

Now their website is closed, they dont respond, does anyone know what is going on?

After about 10 years very hard research, TrichoScience had the same breakthrough as for example George Cotsarelis from Follica about 2 year ago:

Finally they too found out that humans aren’t mice!! :surprised:

And as far as I know, for this unique and world-changing discovery, yet they’re all suggested for the next Nobel prize in Stockholm.

trichoscience came out from “nowhere” and now they went back to “nowhere”. probably their company is broke. and if their company isn’t broke then they are big joke of making websites. normal companies don’t take down their websites for months. it just doesn’t reach my mind what they are doing there. hopefully they are not such a big joke in hair industry.

and that’s correct, they don’t answer to emails anymore.

I don’t know if they are dead, but they are surely not strong (or leading for that matter).

They have presented and Abstract at the 6th World Congress for Hair Loss.
http://www.hair2010.org/abstract/10.asp
I don’t think we will get more information than that.

But this looks like an old report. Could have been found during their phase 1. Without anymore info, all conspiracies/theories/assumptions are valid at this point.

All interesting but I don’t think we have the answers. And, not that what anyone here thinks is important, it’s fodder for the exceptionally bored. Iron Man, you’re still a d i c k.

This is really great Dogstar. Some changes to their team (we’re already aware of), a better website, and not sure why but the pricing they had initially is no longer there. We should be getting an update again on the human trials mid-2010 (in 1-3 months).

information from their new website

Proven safe and effective in laboratory trials, the procedure will undergo human clinical trials beginning in 2010. TrichoScience is also researching a number of other cell-based procedures

Proven safe and effective in laboratory trials, human clinical trials are expected to begin in Europe in 2010.

but if i remember correctly information from their old website then their human clinical trials should be started already in september 2009 (until now 8-9 months ago). this means they haven’t started them yet? if no, then don’t expect to hear nothing about their trials during this year.

Yes I recall them saying that and that updates would be available mid-2010.

Also, in their email reply they stated the following:

February 2, 2010 – Vancouver BC. TrichoScience Innovations Inc.(TrichoScience) has announced the appointment of Dr. Erich Mohr(PhD, R.Psych) as the Company’s new Chairman of the Board ofDirectors, effective immediately”.

However on their new website they indicate that their “Acting” Chairman is Peter Jensen. Now mind you they did say “Acting Chairman”. However it was pretty clear in their email reply to me, and it was posted publicly as well on other sites that “effective immediately on Feb 2, 2010” Eric Mohr was the company’s new chairman.

Those are two inconsistencies I cannot rationalize.

trichoscience is too far with their science anyway. they probably need at least 5+ years. aderans is our best hope atm. hopefully ari’s phase 2 studies are good enough to bring hm to market very soon.

He is sceptic like me. And we got got reasons for this.

To me it seems they were going 3 steps forward and 4 steps back.

They got a good team, but the cloaked themself in strange and irrational behaviour.

First they got a definite price, then they got nothing
First they proclaim to do human trails, now they will start human trails

Sounds a little bit fishy, but anyway i am still happy they are back on the spot

» How would you know where they are with their science? Have you been there
» before? Are you a scientist or just another wanna be from round here?

they even haven’t start their human clinical trials. they told they gonna start them in september 2009 and there are already 8-9 months delay (almost 1 year!) until today. and it takes long time to pass all those 3 phases to bring this cure to market. and i believe they get some drawbacks more during their studies and everything doesn’t go so smoothly like we all hope.

take intercytex - they wasted several years (3 years?) on human clinical trials and now they announced they are broke

aderans has been on their human clinical trials since 2007. probably they finish they phase 2 by the end of this year or even next year. this means that they gonna spend 4 years for 1-2 phases. they probably need 1-2 years more for phase 3 if everything goes smoothly on their current phase.

now you can calculate how many years trichoscience needs.

I emailed tricho science in jan and they said they had just started trails because there was a delay.

They said the result wont be out till late 2010, so they did start trails in 2010

Maybe they started the trials and ran into some sort of regulatory problem. The other guy, the new chairman was supposed to be some sort of guru wasn’t he. He maybe looked at what they were doing and fixed some things. Who knows. The site being back up is a positive sign and the fact that they’ve spent money getting it fixed up is also a good sign. They wouldn’t have spent that money on it if they were broke. You have to allow some room for advance. no one has done this before.

That’s a poor representation of time. Aderans I suspect have been having serious problems.
