I think you are overreacting and way too sensitive. We (Patients) are smart enough to make our own judgement on the meaning of FDA approved products. ‘FDA approved’ does not mean it guarantees all the effectiveness that manufacturers claim. ‘FDA approved’ is nothing but a reference that the product is ‘at least’ safe. People don’t really go to FDA website and read every single word about what FDA claims.
when I see a ‘FDA approved’ label on a product… I go like "FDA approved huh?.. Ok"
I don’t say “WOW!!! It’s FDA approved!!!”
Perhaps many people don’t even know what FDA stands for.

So, Why so serious???:-D[/quote]
Hi G2,
To be honest, I’m not really that serious about this. Something was said and all I did was point out that the statement was incorrect. That’s when the ish hit the fan and I was accused of shilling for strip, being anti-FUE, etc., etc. Basically the same ole story. If you don’t look at FDA approval as being the be all end all of endorsements and qualifications then you’re a smart guy.
James Bond,
This is really hard to answer. What length of hair qualifies as a crew cut? A 2 guard? A 3 guard? The answer also depends on the density of the hair in which the scar resides. Higher donor density helps to hide scars better, even at shorter (but not shaved) lengths. I think a strong percentage of patients can get away with a 3 guard but I dare not speculate just how strong that percentage is but a 2 guard is pushing it. I can sport a 3 guard myself but I’ve not tried a two guard.
Yes, it has and with mixed results. I’ve heard about tests involving patients with previously bad scarring and Acell was used in an attempt to improve these scars. At least one got worse, some stayed the same, some were better. As far as use on virgin scalps after their first strip surgery, I do not know of any major news one way or the other but of course if it were immensely positive you’d already know about it:)
