To All The Doctor wannabees

» what was the result of this transplant

I guess that would depend on which source you used.

or the life Of Me I cannot understand a hair transplant doc allowing their tech to post, and go off on people on a board such as this, while representing my clinic, and you do represent his clinic
I would , if I were considering a transplant, and had considered your clinic, go elsewhere, because of what an ass you make of yourself on this board
you do your clinic a disservice by your brash and rude mannerisms on the board

I would be surprised if Harris knew of this and approved of it

I am not a perfect person. Humans get heated. If you were to collect all of my posts positive and negative. They would balance towards the positive and mostly meaningful.

You on the other hand have started a bashing thread. And I think most of your posts are somewhat negative.

Lastly, no one governs my posts. No one tells me how to post. I conduct my postings the best manner that I can. Most people know this. I represent my clinic better than you are representing your reputation by starting bashing threads. Stop already dude.

I fail to see how bashing other docs on a public forum, in the harsh manner in which you attacked Bazaan, reflects well on your clinic

as I said If I were harris I would not allow it
by the way, I am just some guy who is losing his hair, an anonymous person by the way,

I have no reputation to uphold, I am just a nickname on a board
If I shoot my mouth off on the board, as I often do, the only harm that can come of it, is I get chewed out by another poster

You , on the other hand, can chase off potential customers, a scenario i doubt Harris would be pleased with

If I were you I would post anonymously

Me posting the way I do makes me real. Dr. Harris said that he would get heated all the time so he would rather not post. Dr. Harris did not ask me to post. I don’t get paid to post. I spend a lot of time posting because I care.

Let’s get something straight. I built a good reputation for myself and the million ghost readers out there to judge me. I have been posting for over 5 years. So far I have gotten good comments and some bad comments. Overall, I get good comments.

It looks like you don’t care about your reputation.

And lastly posting anonymously or ghost posting to build up a clinic is shady. I know clinics that ghost post on forums and their own forums. I am not one of those people. I am hairtech. Just as Marco is Marco. And so on.

How about call a truths dude.

Why do you have to talk down to people like that?

This is an open forum. Doctors are expected to be challenged on the board. They shouldn’t feel offended when people raise genuine questions about hair transplant or any hair related questions. If they want a protected environment then they should stay away from the forum. It’s the intense scrutiny of the public that makes the forum valuable.

Hairtech and others make an honest living in the business and have a lot to contribute. He probably doesn’t know as much as a doctor, but he sure does know more about hair transplant than the majority of the posters here. We are fortunate to have someone like Hairtech in the forum.

Why do you have to be so condescending…

» Ok then heart transplants and everry other organ transplant, utilizing
» auto immune drugs are butchery right. Hair transplants are not organ
» transplants, they are transplanting HAIRS not hearts…what is the
» worst that can go wrong ? the body will reject the tissue , and the skin
» would die
»

»
» you act as if no person to person transplant has ever taken place

There were no immune suppressants used. The tissue dies after an acute inflammatory response (due to exposure of the incompatible MHCII) as is what happened from what i can gather. No new hair grows because it was killed as will always happen. There is allway collateral damage at the periphery of the allograft due to the graft Vs host. It is less noticeable an only threatens fibrosis of the scalp since only a small amount of actual tissue is involved and there are no deep veins to cause a clot or wider destruction. It’s G Vs H.

Yes i am emotional about this because a surgeon performing this act in any other field would be hung drawn and quartered. The idea of a test area does not even make sense. Your defence or any ones uneducated defence of this act does make me very angry indeed.

Graft vs. Host or Host vs. Graft disease. Can only be suppressed by drugs such cyclosporin, corticosteroids with also themselves have side effects like severe immunosupression. It will not be worth it.

Damn Marco… I haven’t seen the terms MHC in a while. epitope ring a bell with you?

When you say “It will not be worth it”, I assume that you are aware that this procedure was recently performed without any immune suppression. I am not aware that there was any external ethical or other approval either.

I just re-read what you said. I am sure that it was done out of this country right?

» I just re-read what you said. I am sure that it was done out of this

In Mexico. Nuff said.

BTW, I meant MHC-I.

Mexico… Wow…
MHC-I I knew what you meant.

You know that commercial for Lipitor? I goes like this.

Here is John Jarvic… The inventor of the artificial heart. Then Dr. Jarvic gives his message of why you should take Lipitor.

Well the Jarvic artificial heart failed and the patient died. Is it just me or is that representative while a great researcher, a good representative of a drug?

I just wanted to get that out, It bugs me.
