Thinking about HT

I was wondering if you guys have any advise for HT. I did have 3 strip procedures in the last 90s, the transplated hair grew but it caused the remaining hair I had to fall out. I did go see a doctor 3 years ago and he told me that he can do between 1500 to 2000 just for the front that would give me a good covered between 30/40 cm2. But the crown area I may not have enough donor left so he will do BHT for the crown area.

I been thinking of Dr Hasson and Wong or Dr. Umar, or even Dr. Armani. I would love to see Woods but he is to far…

The only problem is I wear a system, how would I go around that if I get a HT and when I go back to work they see I don’t have much hair. Has anyone had a system and then did a HT?

Also who would you recommend for HT, It seems Armani doesn’t do strip but FU is it good since then there won’t be any scars?

It is not true that FUE leaves no scars, some people get white dots in the donor site but still that is a much better option than having a large strip scar across the back.

Recommendations would go to hasson for strip and Armani for Fue.

Your remaining hair fell out after the hair transplant? Likely one of two things - a)They transplanted the hair incorrectly causing permanent shock to you own hair or b)you were balding and never stayed on meds to maintain what you had.

If you had 3 strip procedures in the past then I would say you would be extremely lucky to get another strip because you may not have the laxity in your scalp. But your consulting surgeon will tell you. Your option to get as much donor possible this round would probably be with FUE.

A surgeon should tell you they will “try” a few bht grafts first to see if they grow, how they grow, and their yield before undergoing an actual bht for your crown.

I think you need Dr. Umar for this, do a search for Heliboy, he went from hairpiece to no hairpiece with a full head of hair.

I seen Heliboy and it looks good, that is why Dr Umar is one option.

Oh I meant to say the hair that I did have fell out because of shock not the transplanted hair…

I noticed on Armani website they have numerous locations around the world, I’m not sure if that is a good thing since the actual Dr Armani may not be doing the surgery and it is more becoming like a chain? They seem to be like Bosley and we all know what they are like. Can anyone tell otherwise?

There are consultation locations and surgical locations. I believe they only have three surgical locations: Los Angeles, Toronto and Dubai.

I remember your pictures from our archives. I think Dr. Umar may be a better candidate for what you need. You need body hair transplant. Dr. Cole is also a good option for repair using body hair.

That being said, as you know, there is no guarantee when it comes to hair transplant. The yield for body hair transplant can be unpredictable for some people. Evaluate your options carefully and be realistic with your expectations.

Tony71,

Rest assured, we only have 2 surgeons performing procedures, Dr. Antonio Armani and Dr. Sara Armani.
