Strip transplants should be banned/boycotted

Ironman, I am not trying to fool anyone or sell anyone by saying my scar is not visible. My clinic doesn’t even offer strip anymore, so who am I trying to fool??

What I am saying is, I feel my strip scar is good, it is alot thinner then most I have seen and it doesn’t bother me.

I can still wear my hair at the normal length I always have without an issue.

thick or thin, i can spot this thing a mile away.

in your effort to conceal hair loss with a transplant, you end up drawing more attention to your head. so you are stuck with the option of never being able to buzz or shave your head as you lose more hair.

this is one major reason strip transplant doctors should be tarred & feathered and run out of town. any doctor doing a strip is an idiot.

Everyone should drive electric vehicle, people should not eat red meat, one solution fits all… Freddie you seemed to have figured it out! Wow genius.
Strip gives an effect of scalp reduction, if you want to harvest the most donor hair then strip has a place in HT. It’s also cheaper than FUE. Anyone who says that strip has no place in HT is an idiot!
There are people, like me, who think buzzing hair and a shaved head is ugly (should we ban buzzing/shaving head too? because I don’t like it … oh we can’t do that it’s agains people’s free will). If you had a bad strip procedure, low yeild/pluggly results/awful scar, my heart goes for you. But you should have done your research better, and should have chosen a right clinic.
Also there are a lot of happy folks, in this forum, who’ve had a strip HT, and if one can’t accept it then they need to seek professional help.

i think for starters i.e people with minimal hairloss FUE may be better choice and also for people who like to go with the buzzed look, but if you have extensive baldness levels or scar on the back of the head is non-issue—going for strip is not a bad decision at all…
I BELIEVE STRIP MAXIMISES WHAT YOU CAN ACHIEVE FROM YOUR DONOR UNTIL OF COURSE H.M COMES ALONG!

There is no way anybody can spot a good strip scar if your hair is 1/2 inch or longer, thats ridiculous. I have a scar on the back of my head from when i was younger, while not as long as a strip scar its probabbly 3mm wide, and you cant even see it at all, so how would you be able to spot it? Superman vision? Ive seen the video’s posted where a good tricho closure was done and you cant even see the scar when a comb is going through the area, so how can you spot one a mile away? You must be referring to if somebody shaves there head. Even if you have extensive hairloss the average person can get around 7000 grafts or more from strip/FUE combo and there would be no reason to shave your head as that can yeald decent coverage. If you are able to buzz your head to a number 4 guard ( 1/2 inch ) if you have a good scar, and nobody can see it, than i think thats great and you can also have some beard hair or something put into the scar to make it look a bit better if you really need to. Strip also seems to have a better yeild doesnt it? Whats wrong with strip of the doc is good and can do a good tricho closure technique?

Lots of people, people like me, already found lots of “professional” (scientifically proven!!) help and resources - like some of them listed here …

Means in short - NO STRIP PROCEDURE in the 21st century anymore!

… simply because there is NO NEED anymore. And “to maximize” the graft amount isn’t an accurate argument as well.

By the way …

Conclusion
In summary, CIT [FUE] produces a lower transection rate and a
greater calculated density than strip surgery and microscopic
dissection.

well ironman,
here is one example where strip may become more of a necessity…

          DR.KESER PATIENT---

This patient’s baldness pattern is not usual, and he has to plan his next step carefully. He has about 6000 FU reserves (calculatet only for FUE) if his donor density can provide 50 grafts/cm2 (actually 82grafts/cm2 on the back, and 67grafts/cm2 on the sites).

If his hairloss comes back, he will needs a lot of grafts for cover the back part of his hairline. Also, he has to think about a combination of FUT/FUE and BHT to fill up his crown.
At the moment he is planing his second surgery and all his options.

Dr. Keser began practicing FUE hair transplants in 2003 and since then he has performed more than 400 surgeries. He does BHT, when the case is suitable for it.

Yes, I know what you mean: Strip transplants should be banned/boycotted …

… as your Dr. Keser-example declares this as well.

Well I feel sorry for Iron man actually. I responded to him before not knowing his history. HOwever, when he ridiculed pat205 for trying making an informative post, I checked out his past posts and I found that he is just not in the right place, mentally. It seems all the emotional taurma he endured had made him a “two face”. When there are posts about FUE he acts sane, and when it’s about strip… well you get the point. I wanted to post something before, about his critcal comment on pat205, but later I figured, it’s not worth it since we’re not dealing with an sane individual… just don’t bother hairlove!
