Stem Cell "Gun" Grows New Skin

Thanks for inquiring superhl, that is unfortunate news. But the answer clearly lies in that region of stem cells regenerating injured skin or injecting/turning on progenitor cells so they can stimulate follicles to grow hair. The cure always seems tantalizingly close then we get the rug pulled out from under us.

that should read… “from over us”

Can you email him again and ask him if the “regenerated” skin has hair follicles on it (even small hairs)? Like if a person had burns on his arm, and the skin gun was used there, would hair grow back in a normal fashion on the arm? Have they seen anything to that effect?

I understand of course his only interest is in treating burn victims, and kudos to him, but if this is regenerating normal skin with all normal skin characteristics (which includes hair … almost all skin on your body has some hair on it, even if you can’t see it), then it does have implications for hair loss even if its unintended.
