As a long term poster on here who hasn’t been around for a while I’m just after a little advice.
Basically, the wife and I are going to be starting a family soon and I want to kick Dutasteride a few months prior to trying. I know they say there is no risk whatsoever to the foetus, but this is the same ‘they’ who would love to force an embargo on the manufacture of all generics and watch millions who can’t afford branded drugs die of AIDS. I basically want to be completely clean over this period, but I don’t want to lose the ground I have made on Dut which hand-on-heart I believe has been fantastic.
In terms of hairloss, I first noticed I was going bald in 1999 (I was 20 at the time). I did nothing but panic for a little while, and then tried minox. It didn’t really work too well. I then incrementally tried Finasteride, which worked better the more of it I took. And then I moved onto Dut which I believe has halted my hairloss at the NW1.5-2 stage ever since. I’ve been on it since its release in early 2003, at an average dose of 3 pills per week, and aside from a bit of mental fogginess in the early days the drug has treated me very well.
It has been easy to chart my progress. I am the third of 4 brothers, and the only one who is the good side of a NW4. I know they say it isn’t always genetic, but the coincidence is enough for me not to believe this. People are amazed when they see me with my brothers, and always ask how I managed to avoid the curse!
Basically, I want to switch from alpha blockers to a natural remedy. I have read a lot of good things about Hogan’s regimen, and wondered if GLA + EPA is the way to go. For me it looks as if DHT inhibition was the key though, although I’ve read some horror stories about Saw P.
I’m thinking of taking borage and fish oil, although I’m unsure of the doseage to try. Can anyone give me any advice as to whether or not this will work, or any other ideas?

I started on Saw Palmetto and gradually added other dht blockers and my fallout stopped within 2 weeks, Now 9 yrs later my hair looks great, much better than it did even before 1999. No further thinning and balding and my sides and back are very thick now, the tops is no longer see through.

Buy some supps that inhibit DHT and find your dosage. Inhibiting Estradiol is important also as any DHT inhibited will be converted into Estradiol.
Beta sis, SP and Pygeum are some of the better ones.
Take them individually to see if what dosage is best for you.
Start at a low dosage and increase and then taper down to a maintenance level.

When you detox on a continual basis you go to the route of inflammation rather than suppressing it!

Wow I have been on your plan of attack for two years and it has helped a lot but I haven’t been able to stop the thinking in the front complete. Check out my first timing post up top about it.

Yes after you tryed it a while back and talked about it I order some and IT DID HELP for sure but nothing seems to make it grow back to the full think size it once was so far. I only did one tube. I will try these 3 I just ordered and post my results.

The front is where its thinning at this point. I put extra rogain there but its not doing enough. I hoping the nazial will help there soon. If I could just save what I have it would be such life changing factor for me.
