The numbers re the balance of how T is bound are right, but there is no concensus on some of the points they make. For example even SHBG-bound T will disassociate; think of it as a chemical equilibrium that is impacted by context. Also, there is evidence that SHBG-bound T may acivitly bind to the Androgen Receptor.
Generally SHBG increases as Estrogen increases and decreases with increasing T. Excessive E is very bad, i.e. linked to many male and female cancers, it is definitely one of the things I try to reduce as part of my regimen.
BTW. If you are looking to grow muscle the story is quite different.

I saw your post suggesting that the reason people start to go bald around the time of puberty is because I guess it takes 12-15 years for shampoo to kill hair; it very clearly cannot be related to the medical fact that hormone production goes thru the roof at this exact age.
What’s more the age doesn’t vary depending on the type of shampoo, and some people can use as much shampoo as they like and it has no effect; I guess they just don’t have the “Shampoo is bad gene”!
BTW. Why don’t children that use shampoo more regularly start losing hair before puberty?
Of course according to the shampoo theory it takes precisely 12-15 years for the evil shampoo to cause baldness and 130 years to reverse the effect by not using shampoo.
There is nothing better than a theory than can never be challenged because no one will ever live long enough to see if it is true of not!
