Seeking Dr. Gho in a month\'s time ... Please suggest questions to ask

As I wrote in the header, I am seeing Dr. Gho in a month’s time for a consultation only. To make sure I cover everything, I would appreciate your suggestions for any pertinent questions to ask (I already have compiled a few of my own).

That’s great Leonard.

Post the questions you have compiled and lets get the ball rolling to see if we can add to them.

Hi Leonard,

  1. How can I verify that my donor has regenerated?
  2. Is it possible to go from NW6 to NW1? If it is possible, can you provide some instances where this has occurred?
  3. Have European regulatory and insurance authorities independently verified the merits of your technique? Can they confirm your findings?
  4. Can young patients undergo this surgery in spite of the fact that extensive future loss may be imminent? (this is another way to ask question 2 in case he doesn’t provide a straight answer - young patients will not be good candidate for this surgery if donor does not completely regenerate)

I just got one question

  1. How far is his SCI (Stem Cell INJECTION) its his other thing he is been working on

If he can give you an answer to this, then the pre posters question about NW6 to NW1 should be automatically answered as well

Thanks guys, here is a compiled list. Feel free to add in the coming days as you think of anything else.

  1. How can I verify that my donor has regenerated? You mention on your site that you can guarantee regrowth - can I be reimbursed if regrowth does not occur?
  5. If you extract a donor follicular unit of three hairs, will three hairs regenerate in my donor? And will three hairs grow on my recipient site?
  6. Can I see photos of and meet past patients of yours, preferrably those who were NW5-6 and have had multiple procedures?
  7. What if I have naturally very fine hair, will HST still work on me?
  8. What is the update on hair stemcell injection?

Think of all the answers you would like to hear and those will be the answers you will get. Like asking a second hand car salesman if his car is a good one.
By the way you will be told they have clients who have gone from high norwoods to NW1 and 2 its all very vague. However you will be told that the clients like to keep their privacy and you will not be available to meet them. They may be able to talk on the telephone but at the end of the day you will probably be talking to one of the guys in sales.
How do i know this well i have been for a consultation at the old gho clinic i am a norwood 6 and they told me maybe they could put some grafts in the front and would recommend a hair piece for the middle and the crown.
I asked them what about the donor regrowth and why could we not take more grafts if 70% grow back but they said that number was not guaranteed.
They have not shown one case in the last 10 years of full restoration from a norwood 5 or above ask yourself why this is.
Sorry but all your questions are a waste of time you will just get told what you what to hear.

And who are you?

O.k. So instead of, let us go to the “Laser Aesthetic” clinic (or any other traditional clinic), because they can guarantee you full recipient area re-grow:

Dutch

English

German

Thanks Wolfgang. How long ago was your consultation? Was this the old Follicular Multiplication method or was is the new HST method?

Seems this guy is not up to date …

It was the old fm technique. I saw a Dr genne and also gho.
However the old technique was being touted around in 2003 just like the new technique is now.
When gho left the gho clinic he basically rubbished the old technique saying the regrowth was inconsistent.
You will never see a high norwood taken to complete restoration the donor regrowth would be evident to see and quite frankly i don’t believe the numbers they quote.
I travelled to Maastricht i was willing to pay but it all turned out to be a complete load of rubbish.
What makes you think its any different now.

Ask him if he will do a 5-year status update (I think he knows my pen name James Bond?) to the interview we did on HST and HM in 2005? I haven’t had time to call him, but I will send the questions if he will take the time to answer them.

Thanks,

James Bond

(currently working 7-days/week so my time is pretty limited; sorry I’m scarce around here. )

There is a clinic in NY that said it can get plucked hairs to grow by injecting the scalp with Acell before implanting. This seems much easier than Dr Gho
's method.

You should at least give Iron Man some credit for finding this link weeks before you.

Cough Cough is anyone around with the interview? James Bond? Gho? Anyone.
