Rare 7 hair graft with CIT

Regardless of the procedure a patient elects to have, Dr. Cole does the best he can with the tools, methods, and individual patient characteristics at hand. Despite years of experience and thousands of cases, Dr. Cole acknowledges that fractionation and transections are part of strip surgery. This is why he prefers and recommends FUE over FUT.

Dr. Cole is currently out of the country but I believe he has some additional thoughts, relating to this thread, that he would like to share once he returns next week.

Dr. Cole is able to determine which follicular units contain multiple hairs, and will provide greater density, but he would not necessarily have been able to determine that these FUs contained 7-hairs until they were removed. As you can see in the photos, not all of the hairs can be seen simply from looking at the surface.

Emilie,
Thanks for your response, but could explain it better? I know follicles can get transected while extracting the strip. But once the strip is extracted why do we have fractionation and transection? Or you only mean that there are transections while extracting the strip?
Thanks,
Aravind
