Step-by-Step Hair Transplant Procedure
1. Hairline Design & Planning
For Grade 6 baldness, achieving a balanced and dense hairline design is critical.
Dr. Jinkal and her team designed a natural-looking hairline and marked the frontal, mid-scalp, and upper crown areas for implantation. The lower crown was reserved for a secondary session and medical therapy.
2. Donor Area Assessment
The donor area was examined under dermoscopy to ensure adequate graft quality.
Hair characteristics: medium thickness, light black with few gray hairs.
A local anesthesia sensitivity test confirmed no allergic reactions before the procedure.
3. Anesthesia & Slit Making
Using a painless local modified block anesthesia, Raiyan comfortably tolerated the entire surgery.
Slits were created with sapphire metal blades (1.2 mm for hairline and 1.4 mm for other zones), ensuring correct angle, direction, and density for natural hair growth.
4. Graft Extraction
Grafts were harvested using a 0.8 mm titanium serrated punch under magnification. Extracted grafts were preserved in a graft-chiller machine at 4°C in RL solution to maintain vitality.

5. Graft Implantation
Using the K.E.E.P. implanter, grafts were placed in their respective slits with precision. The implantation process took about 170 minutes, ensuring even coverage and a high survival rate.
6. Post-Procedure Care
After implantation, a sterile dressing was applied, and Raiyan was provided with detailed aftercare instructions and medications.
A personal follow-up doctor was assigned to monitor recovery and ensure smooth healing.
Post-Transplant Journey and Results
1. Shedding Phase (0–3 Months)
As expected, Raiyan experienced temporary shedding during the first 3 months—a normal phase where transplanted hairs fall before regrowing.
His first PRP session was done after 2 months, and donor density normalized by the end of the third month.
2. Growth Phase (3–6 Months)
By 6 months, Raiyan achieved 80% visible hair growth. Hair strands varied in length, but density improved significantly.
He underwent two additional PRP sessions (at 4 and 6 months) to stimulate follicle growth.
3. Final Results (After 12 Months)
