I agree with the others. The after pic looks worse.
Maybe cal is right, and the needling has temporarily removed some hairs.
And at 6 weeks its probably too soon to see new hairs. I think you will need at least 2-3 months.

Photos are meaningless without a hair count. Different lengths, angles, lighting, dry vs. wet, etc. - you can’t adequately control any of these factors. These HT docs know this, yet they still use photos to push this product. Its very disingenuous. But we’re desperate suckers, so it works.

In the case of Dr. Jones, it is clear that he is not manipulating us, as the “after” photo looks worse.

My comment was more about the HT industry in general, not this particular doctor. Why don’t these doctors use individual counts instead of photos? They know that no claim can be independently verified without hair counts, and yet they never offer them. Seriously, how can a physician, who should hold the scientific method in the utmost regard, try to pass off anecdotal, uncontrolled “data” (if that’s what you can call random photographs) as legitimate results? Its insane.

I find the entire HT industry suspect. Remember, if these guys were good doctors to begin with, they would have been REAL cosmetic surgeons or some other high-level speciality. I have more than 4 doctors in the family (all US trained - the only ones I’d ever consider going to), and they LAUGH at HT docs. These guys are generally the ones who washed out of more demanding specialties (ask them where they got their MDs from; more often than not, they were from some school you’ve never heard of located outside the States or the UK). HT docs really are the bottom rung of the medical ladder, and I wouldn’t let them near my head, no matter what NW I was. Wait for Follica, try the Big 3, or deal with it.

Dr. Jones

When will you put on line the photos of some patient?
What about your situation now?

We are very impatient to know if it works!

I agree with you.
It is difficult to achieve a beautiful hair transplant.
Photos can’t be trusted, because so many times, they are presented with manipulative tactics, and even in those cases when there is no manipulation, they represent a best case scenario. The most probable outcome is that you end up with a poor result.

Regarding qualifications, well, I don’t know. I think a doctor with great achivements at university is not a guarantee for a good hair transplant. Hair Transplantation is an art that is not taught at normal schools.
