Most try the big 3 at sometime in the hairloss process - Minox, finasteride Nizoral. They didnt help me much though I have heard some guys got good results from them.

I was using and still am on FIN and Rogaine. Neither did anything to help regrow any hair, but I feel they did helped slow things down almost to a halt for me. I am thankful for that.

I had three strip HT’s with quite modest results and find that that an all-round regimen (fin +minox+oils + nettle root+ multivit +…) is way more efficient. FIN made me reverse my Norwood status by one tick (from 3 to2). But side effects are harsh. So, all this is very debatable.

Hi Quarterhead.
I havent noticed any growth from being on Minox and Fin, but have definitely noticed a reduction of hairloss. So Im happy to continue to use them. I have found I put on wait alot easier since taking fin so Im compensating by eating healthier. I got my hairtransplant because I wanted to not look like im losing my hair. I think with the hairloss products even if you get hairgrowth, most people still have a hairloss look. I guess also alot of the decision making process of to get a transplant or not comes down to the individual and the extent and area of hairloss.
Hope Ive been of help.))

I use minox and propecia, I wouldn’t say useless results but certainly not good enough to make a difference for my appearance. I am still using both btw.

I’m on fin + tons of other things, gave up on minox even though it worked for me. The reason I did not want to use minox is that it does not slow down your hairloss, it seems just to add some minox dependend hair on top of what you are losing.

I rather want to see the bald truth then to live with an illusion of hair.

I personally have had quite remarkable success with the hair. When I started I was diffuse norwood 3, I could see through my scalp especially when wet but even when it was dry it was pretty obvious there was something going on.

Now 3 years later and tons of regimens tested, You can’t tell I’m balding pretty much. And if it was not because of the temples you could not tell even when wet.

I’m 29 nw 2.5 or so, have not decided to undergo ht yet, I’m still trying to find something that will make me confident that it could stabilise my hairloss till late age.

I think that regimens are good for maintenance, but generaly poor if you want cosmetically significant regrowth. It is possible to get some nice regrowth, but its pretty hard to find and stick with the routine.

thank you people , i find this helpful.
the thing is that i wish i could stip the shedding . i’m norwood 5 and had gone 3 HT already.
tried fin one year no result and rogaine 6 months also no results.
do you have any advice for me
