Philip - 5143 FUSE (scalp, beard & chest) - HT and updates

Dear forum readers,
A forum reader and our patient, Philip, has been gracious enough to share his progress.

I shall be posting his surgery and later updates.

Please note that the way he has taken the follow up pictures are what I consider ideal.

But all that later.
First, we shall talk about his case from the start.

My apologies in advance - the thread is going to have a lot of documentation and pictures.

Regards,
Dr. A

It seems that you are using beard hair more frequent now on your patients. That’s exactly what I want to see.

Age - 30’s.

Norwood stage - 5.

Scalp Hair type - brown straight hair.

Previous HTs - 610 grafts in Europe for hairline.

Race - Caucasian.

Foolwing are some pictures when Philip visited us.
Pictures taken in our consultation room.

The texture of his hair looks very very coarse.

I will post this again, putting chest hair on our head is not a real solution. Intercytex’s announcement is just weeks away, that’s what we should be looking forward to. The hair on your patient looks very rough and unnatural. It’s not a real solution.

awful. just awful. totally unnatural imho.

looked far better BEFORE any work.

if that was me i’d be feeling pretty suicidal by now and would have booked corrective surgery.

i’m sorry, but after over 5,000 grafts i think thats the worst transplant i’ve seen this decade.

i would not leave the house looking like this.

most transplants are pretty undetectable nowadays but this has to be the most obvious looking hair transplant i’ve seen in years. This is the sort of work you see in other surgeons BEFORE pics before carrying out corrective work.

I’m afraid I have to agree. His hair is very coarse so needs more density to look natural at the hairline. Plus, the direction of the placed grafts is all over the place.

Not the worst HT I’ve ever seen, but very unnatural, and if I was the patient I would be seeking corrective work somewhere.

Dr A’s hairlines often look a bit “off” to me, but this one is way below his normal standards…

Very unnatural, the coarse texture aside, it looks like the hair is totally out of control growing at all different directions.

Sorry for the harsh words, but this gentleman looked FAR better clean shaven.

Looks like it is coming in but it doesnt look that natural to me.
