Opinions needed

Over the next week I will have consultations with Dr. Feller and Dr. Dorin. If anyone can give me their opinion on either one it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

What is your age? Hair transplant is not for everyone. Most doctors do NOT take on patients who are too young.

What is the extent of your hair loss? Have you tried topicals and Propecia etc?

History of hair loss in your family?

Most importantly, what are your goals and expectations? What do you want to accomplish? Are you aware of the differences between FUE and STRIP?

Give us a little bit more details so that we can offer you some feedback.

I am 35 years old and have been thinning since my early 20’s. I would say I am approx. a Norwood 3. Over the past few weeks I have seen quite a bit of shedding in the hairline. Not really sure why. I have been on propecia for 10 years and rogaine 5% for the past 5 years. It definitely helped but I think I am finally starting to lose the fight against hair loss.

There is history of diffuse hair loss on my mothers side of the family. My brother who is 39 has very little hair loss and no visible receeding at the hairline.

I have done alot of research on FUE and strip so I think I understand what each can offer. I think my biggest concern is the amount of time I will have an unnatural hairline so I don’t look odd when I go back to work if I have the procedure done. I am willing to take off 3 weeks from work to have the transplant done.

As far as my goals and expectations are concerned, I don’t want a straight hair line. I have always had a high hairline and having recession on the temples is fine. I really want more density in the front and a fuller appearance of what is already there. Most importantly, I just want to get my life back and feel better about myself.

Who is Dr. Dorin? I would not go to Feller for FUE if I were you.

Dorin is a partner of Dr. True in NY. Is there any reason why you would not go to Feller for an FUE?

None of these doctors are well known for FUE.
