Hi Guys

Im new to the forum
Sorry to be a pain but can someone quickly explain what hair multiplication is and where are we at with it at the moment. Is it the same as hair transplant but multiplying your existing hairs???

I apologise for my ignorance

Hi there,

yeah sure. It was an extremely promising solution to baldness led by a company called Intercytex. This company recently announced the product is effectivly dead and research almost certainly wont continue.

bummer.

Hi Swany
No one at this time actually knows if Hair Multiplication ICX-TRC will get to market, but its not dead in the water at present - research trial 3 will go ahead if they show good results from trial 2,due to money situation,it will only go a head with a third party involved.Bosley’s are top of list for this.

See intercytex links

Its not dead in the water yet,but I wouldn’t hold your breathe!

I will say this:

Maybe ICX-TRC can’t reverse or regenerate the MPB-damaged hairs. But do we really know it can’t offer us DHT resistance when injected into still-functioning hair follicles?

I suspect that Follica’s hairs probably can’t offer better DHT resistance even though they might start out great.

Perhaps the ultimate best MPB treatment will turn out to be a combination of both. Getting Follica’s treatment to regrow the lost hairs, and then getting ICX-TRC injections into the balding areas to free us from a lifetime of daily baldness medications.

I don’t think anyone cares about DHT resistance, anything is better than hair transplant rogaine and propecia. We need a better option period.

Depending on what Follica’s method produces we might start caring about DHT resistance again in a big hurry. What if the new hairs wither away inside of one cycle?

I’m not trying to jinx Follica. But theoretically speaking, something like that scenario is still entirely possible.

thanks all

can someone explain how they inject the new cells in the scalp?

They just do somehow. Is it really important? So far it seems more likely that it won’t be available any time soon.

Follica do research as well but they have to yet start human trials. This means that it will most probably fail in 5 years from now on.

I understand this is something you do not want to hear but imho it’s better to be honest and realistic rather then putting all your hopes onto some distant dream.

Study head shaving, self tanning, hit a gym and get some meditation & self help cds or something like that. that’s the most advanced cure we have so far.

I’ve done the head shave,we’ve had a lot of sunny weather the last few weeks,so I’ve got the tan,and yes its looking good,I’ll have to try keeping the tan it looks good, but do I really have to hit the gym,do meditatation, get self help cds - if I did the last three things I’d have no reason to visit hairsite - GET REAL!.
