New Intercytex Press release 26th Jan 2009

The good news is that they state they have made good progress along all 4 of their products and have stated TRC phase II trials are due to be completed this 1/4. The bad news (for their employees at least) is that they are taking cost reduction measures so redundancies are in the pipeline.

This for us isn’t so bad as the report clearly states that these people are researchers and so their services are no longer requried as the products near commercialisation and further clinical trials are no longer needed.

Here is the report

Of course, they would say they are making good progress BUT doesn’t say anything else. I think we all are sure that phase-II would finally end this quarter, BUT What we want to hear is news about phase-III, when is that happening? have they found a partner yet?

This is about as non-committal as they could get.

It doesn’t change my suspicion that phase#2 of TRC must have basically failed to work.

does that mean they will fire you ?

They fire 50% of the staff just to get enough money to stay alive for this year! What about next year? Forget about finding a partner, you should worry about icx not going bankrupt within a year. The stock fell 27 % today.

What we all can read is that ICX-TRC has turned into their least loved son, if you can say that in English, can you ?

if trc failed to work then y r they reporting that there r good results ?? if it failed to work y r they looking 4 a partner ?? if it failed 2 work then surely no1 will buy it. Do u honestly think any western gov wud give £2M to a company which is doomed to fail ?? The stock market fell by 20% , so wot ??? they have other products, y does every1 automatically assume it has sumthing 2 do with TRC ???

the amount of pessimism on this board is sometimes beyond belief

now at 17.75

These kind of news shoud be welcome by the stock markets, but in the case of ICX, I think it is becoming too evident that this ship is sinking and nothing can be salvaged, no matter how you restructure it. The pipelines are clogged. Se la vie (sp?)

Whats beyond belief is your blindness. You cannot see beyond your own nose.

I love the market. Here on this site, fantasy reigns. In the market, people respond rationally. They don’t kid themselves. They don’t buy into ambiguous press releases and lack of data. They need proof and honest assessments. At this point, ICX is actually doing more harm than good by being so evasive. The market would be nicer to them if they just admitted the failure and moved on.

I totally agree with you. Investors are risking their own money, so they don’t want wet dreams. They want realities.
In the case of TRC, it is ovious that it has been a failure, and indeed, the attitude of ICX trying to present it as something good, is ridiculous and generates discomfort and distrust.
But I feel Vavelta has also been another big failure. The lack of photos after launch… and now, sentences like this one:
"The commercialisation of Vavelta® in the UK for aesthetic uses is generating significant excitement."
are simply laughable.

And what about the flagship skin products? what about ICX-Pro Phase III? Things were not stellar, and this is why the FDA demanded to increase the number of trialists. Soon we will see what is the final result.

Why are you so pessimistic?? Only because ICX dont give us any news doesnt mean that this is going to fail…I have been reading all of your post and dont understand you. You speak before we know anyting so shut up. We will know about Phase III very soon, how should they talk about this if they havent post the results of Phase II?..It hasnt any sense, so lets wait what they have to tell us in march, do we? Give me a reason to thing that Intercytex failed? If they say that everything is going well we should believe them. Why should they “continue” telling us lays if they really failed? They buyed Axordia and got a new patent to make things easier. That are good reasons to believe that everything is working.

the main reason people (including myself) believe ICX has failed is that when companies successfully do research they usually release their results to boost the incentive for investors to buy… obviously if they are struggling financially they would throw a bone at least so revive their stocks and investments… they have shown nothing so far and the last release was also more than ridiculous. It was so evident that they had nothing to show.
I know you want to believe they are doing well as do i… but it really just doesn’t look good. So far we have seen nothing from them. Not a word about hair quality or growth direction or even anything to that effect.

As far as I can tell, the only things in that report that directly concern TRC are these:

Despite the very positive progress being made on all projects…

and

Completion of the Phase II trial of ICX-TRC for hair regeneration continues to be expected at the end of this quarter…

Anyway, isn’t it reasonable not to divulge anything from a trial until it is completely done in order not to induce bias among the participants (I know they already did)? Also, how could they release any conclusive results before they have been measured, analyzed, calculated and prepared for presentation, which I assume occurs towards the end of the trials?

At any rate, speculation leads nowhere. We’ll see when they release the results, probably later this year.

LOL…Intercytex better stop with their Press Releases. It seems after every press release their share price takes a dive :stuck_out_tongue:

No, the main reason is that people (pessimistic of course) want to get fresh news about ICX every month. And only because they didnt told us too much in the preliminar results from the second Phase, you all believe that this isnt going to work. In march we will know (They allways told us that they would give us the results in that month, so I dont understand why you think so). And I repeat, if they failed, why would they waste their time buying a new patent and a company called Axordia??? Really, think a little bit. And you dare to say “It really just doesnt look good” Why??? You dont know anything. You say that because your hair is falling faster than Intercytex getting a solution and that burns you inside. But dont pretend to change the opinion of people if you dont have good reasons to discuss it. It is really easy to say that ICX failed when we dont know what will happening. Really easy.

They have only said that the phase-II would end in march, they still have Not said whether they will release exact hair counts and/or any before/after pictures of the treated areas.

I don’t know why you’re making a point about Axordia. If Intercytex succedded they wouldn’t need axordia. Axordia is stemcell treatment for Blindness Not Baldness. To me it looks like they want to diversify their productline even if they are low on cash, why? probably because they know that they won’t make much off of TRC.

Fine, I talk about Axordia because its a “STEM CELL” company and maybe you dont know it but ICX works with the same procedure: Stem cells. Stem cells works with a lot of things, not only blindness. But I see youre blind enough because the only excuse to say that ICX failed is because they dont give information every week. “If ICX succeded they wouldnt need axordia” They wouldnt eather need axordia if they failed. They wouldnt pay anything in this case. Why did they buyed a new patent? You dont have arguments, thats what I believe

That highlighted line proves you have no idea what you are talking about.
