Multi-vitamins

I just realized I have been taking synthesized multi-vitamins for a little while now. I’m wondering if this could have any negative effect on anything.

what kind of vitamins are you taking?
you should be taking a super hair vitamin, either Ultra Hair by Natures Plus
or Maxi Hair by Country Life.

also a chelated multi mineral doesnt hurt

Now, I’m taking garden of life’s Vtamin Code. It’s great stuff overall. It’s made from raw organic whole food. No preservatives, no binders. Live probiotics, glycoproteins, lipoproteins, bioactive enzymes, CoQ10, essential trace minerals, antioxidants and even all of the tocotrienols. Contains all of the vitamin Bs as well.

I don’t trust too many multivitamins these days after doing a bit of research. Synthesized supplements barely get absorbed, the body doesn’t recognize it. The fillers do more harm than good. You’ll see a list of vegetables used on the real thing.

You can do a test on your multi vitamin to see how well it is absorbed by the human body. Pour some vinegar in a glass and put you multi vitamin in the vinegar. Let it sit for one hour, come back and see how much of it has dissolved. If it’s gone then your body will have absorbed the entire pill. If the pill is still sitting there the pill is not dissolvign and your body may have issues absorbing it.

Sorry but based on past history i dont believe what you are saying
studies i have read say the body cannot distinguish between natural and synthesised

most of the vitamins in the Bs for example, where do you think they get them? make them in the lab? nope, they get them from natural sources

you can continue being paranoid and taking a line of bull from whatever company you are buying from but based on experience the super hair vitamins on the market do work and they work very well
perhaps your body has a problem with absorbtion

the minerals are actually way more important than the vitamins , in the overall picture
with the proper balance of minerals, your body will not even recognize vitamins and they will pass right through your body

are you taking 2000mcg timed released biotin? do you realize a study with rats where they took all the biotin out of the rats diet, the rats went bald?

I personally take GNC Multivitamin Ultra Mega Gold. It has alot of NATURAL sources of vitamins and minerals. Your multi vitamin should list what the sources are next to the amount, for instance my multi has 5000 IU’s of vitamin A (50% as beta-Carotene & 50% as Acetate). Those are supposed to be natural sources of vitamin A.

I have been told this is a pretty good multi vitamin. Not alot of bondings or synthetic sources.

Its expensive enough

haha yeah, so is mine. I think I might stick to raw vegetables when I’m through with this batch. Though, it is convenient whenever you’re on the run.

I don’t trust those bondings at all. Better safe then sorry. It’s still a guess science, I believe. Do they really know exactly what goes on inside our bodies when we ingest that stuff? When these vitamins become isolated from their natural source, then having filler added to it…

Oh by the way, the vinegar test, ingenius. I’ll have to try it out.

to think you can get what you need from eating a balanced diet, i believe is also a fallacy

normal people maybe. but I believe our hair problem the DHT contricts the blood vessels at the base of the hair follicles, and even if we are getting a normal vitamin supply in our diet, our hair will not get this. Why? the vessels are not giving normal blood flow to the scalp, so we must make sure we give extra in order to compensate.

Also do you realize your hair skin and nails are LAST in line for vitamins? the body will nourish the internal organs and brain first, they are critical to life function. The hair is last in line. So if you are at all deficient in any vitamin or mineral, you can be assured the hair will get very little or none.

Think you can get 600 percent , 2000 mcg biotin from your diet? good luck
try eating about 20 eggs a day, or find other sources for it

like I said, if you are not taking a super hair vitamin and you are losing your hair, you are basically shorting yourself and chasing your own tail. Very important. How do I know? 20 yrs of trial and error.

I take my GNC Multi vitamin as well as a Hair vitamin from Origenere, which contains Biotin. I also start everyday by drinking a can of V8 juice, two servings of fruits and vegatbales right off the bat from that. I eat another 3 servings during the day, apple, pear, carrots along with my two vitamins, I feel pretty set.

I also drink water all day long.

why would you pay like 35 bucks a bottle for that vitamin
I guarantee the maxi hair by country life is WAY better and its like 8 bucks per bottle

You are talking like 500 bucks a year just for that vitamin, in comparison to 100 bucks a year for the Maxi Hair

some people i will never understand

they wont even publish on their website that I can find that Origenere ingredients
I will gladly post side by side what the Maxi Hair has in it and compare

Maybe so but 500 dollars a year for a vitamin and a product I believe in really isn’t all that much. With all of these vitamins not needing to be FDA aaproved I make it a point to research the company and the product.

I see how a particular product works for me over a 3 month period, it it works I stick with it. I believe a hair vitamin is important.

my point is, that vitamin doesnt even list its ingredients, so we can assume it is very weak hair vitamin

you are getting ripped off, paying 4 times what you should
if you dont mind, then hey go for it

they dont list them on their website
the only reason for this?
they dont want you to know
they survive by ill informed people who would not even know what to look for in the first place, ordering it

you are one of those people

I’m sorry Hangin but I disagree. Because I am not taking the same supplements as you does not make me misinformed. Thanks for the discussion though

if you spend 40 bucks a month on an inferior hair vitamin, when you could get one that is much more effective and powerful, for 8 bucks a month, then sorry, yes , i am sorry to break the news to you , but you are misinformed
