Lowest razor # that can be used after a strip hair transplant (16 months)

Hi guys (and gals).

It’s been 16 months since my strip hair transplant and am thinking about cutting my hair shorter. I’m just very cautious about showing the strip scar on the back of my head. What’s the lowest razor # that can be used without showing the scar?

To give you an idea of what type of cut I want, here’s a photo (the GQ magazine cover):

Really depends on the scar thickness, scar color, hair characteristics etc, but it is going to be a 2 or 3. If you are unsatisfied with that you can get grafts in your scar when done right REALLy makes a difference…

How short is a #2? The photo that I posted? That’s about as short as I’d want to go.

What you’re looking at with Matt’s hair is about a #3 at the shortest, possibly a #4 but I think it was done by hand with scissors and not a clipper so it may be anywhere in between. My hair is about the same length as this and scissors were used on my last cut and there is no issue with the scar showing.

Thanks to the both of you for the replies. I’ve managed to get away with a hair transplant for this long without anyone knowing, with the exception of my hairdresser (who I told).

I would try a 3 guard first and see how that looks.
