Uhhh…NO IT ISN’T. There’s a study with topical ketoconzole which tested it in humans under extreme conditions: far more of it was applied than what you’d ever get with the normal use of Nizoral shampoo. Blood levels of the drug were so low, they were ar or near the limits of what could even be detected chemically.

I think the shampoo is not recommended daily simply because it can be harsh, and probably cause local irritation to the scalp if over-used.

Being this is my thread I get to hijack it! I’ve been meaning to ask you something.
Ive recently went through an incredibly massive shed that lasted one week. I was using dut 0.5mg daily for about 3months now and nizoral 2% almost everyday for like 3 weeks. It was giving me great results up to that point.
Ive thinned out dramatically on both my 5 month old transplanted hairs in the hairline and my entire scalp. Even sides and back (not half as much as on top).
I know sheds are expected, but this bad? And I continue to take my treatments and have not stopped as the shed has stopped, so Im hoping its only uphill from here.
Please tell me Bryan if my hairs will all grow back including my transplanted hairs. Give me all your input here pls.

You really shouldn’t go near them without the advice of your doctor…and don’t go drinking the shampoo either!!!
