Is Follica dead?

yeah i get pretty sick of hearing about break throughs with mice, it seems if you spit on a mouse it will grow hair. Still holding out hope though

While i tend to agree with your logic here, there is one thing that sort of contradicts it and i’m not sure it can be ignored. If you look at the timeline of events, they were ready to pull the trigger on the proof of concept study in mid 2008. Getting participants was no problem and they said they were starting in a couple of months from the time of the interview. So, i think it’s safe to say that at some point they’ve tried this on humans. If that study occured, then they most certainly would have some idea of whether it’s going to work or not…and they’ve known for some time now. My point is this, if the POC was a failure, why would they go and spend millions on a new CEO, executive team and scientific advisory board? And they’ve done so as recently as May 13, 2009.

I hadn’t visited their website for a while and when i went back to it a month or two ago, i was impressed by the number of high level people they’ve added. Especially interesting to me was that they’ve hired and have in place, a guy for the head of operations - Mr Kellog, who has a lot of experience with commericalization. Having a guy for operations kinda implies that you have something that operates, right? They’ve also hired a guy with tons of marketing experience. Why pay salaries on these positions if they not close to moving forward yet? I don’t get it. To me this doesn’t sound like a company that has nothing. But, honestly, who the hell knows?

This is very frustrating, and i’m running out of time. I would love to know one way or the other.

That’s all any of us are asking for from Follica from what I can see, would it really be so difficult for them to tell us if they have tried it on humans or not. It’s a strange company.
