I still dont belive Dr. Cotsarelis

His claim that cure from the results of his recent discovery is a decade away is total bs.

If his claim that stem cells within the bulge region of the hair follicle fail to differentiate into progenitor cells which create thick terminal hairs, then a decade away is an unreasonably long time.

Think about it the stem cells (KRT15) still exist in bald scalp however it is not producing the progenitor cells.

All the scientist need to do is closely and carefully examine KRT15 cells in normal haired scalp and examine how it produces the Progenitor cells CD200, CD34, ITGA6.

Than they should do the same for the balding scalp and see what cellular process, proteins, cytokeins and other factors that inhibit the regular process.

Once they know whats wrong in the bald scalp stem cells they should find chemical cocktail to turn the dysfunct KRT15 cell from the bald scalp in a culture dish and see what works in coaxing the stem cell into progenitor cells.

And there you have it.

I think they said it would be within a decade, and they were talking about producing a cream based on their latest discoveries. Follica won’t take anywhere near that long, the research just backed up what Follica are already doing.

this is a bunch of hogwash…

by this theory, curing cancer would be a matter of “closely and carefully examining” healthy cells and examining cells which exhibit uncontrolled proliferation.

And there you have it. A cure for cancer…

science is not as simple as you seem to think it is… the decade time line is however not very reasonable either as time progresses technological advancements will occur that no one can anticipate today… no one knows what science will yield in the coming years… a 12 year prognosis is therefor hardly reliable and should be taken with a grain of salt.

the cure for baldness is definately not coming from within the hair loss research community. that I am certain of.

it will come from some other researcher involved in stem cell research. he’ll be trying to grow skin or some organ and suddenly discover he’s found a method of coaxing stem cells to turn into hair follicles.

the day that happens, we will be cured and that guy will be a mega billionaire. it will be like the second coming for us baldies.

You are annoying as hell all your postings contain always the same sentences

  1. Minox and propecia blablabla

  2. Second coming for us baldies

  3. MPB this monster or wahtever analogy fits

  4. The guy who does this and that will be a billionair

  5. will be richer then bill gates

Just shut up if you can only come up with the same few things everytime again

Cotsarelis is a self-promoted guy. A PR experto who is helping nothing to find a hairloss cure.

(regardign cancer watch video in youtube: “Run from the cure. Rick Simpson” and learn about one of many suppressed real cures).

I think that for some reason HM is being suppressed as so many other cures.

i think you should shut up if you have to say nothing else than bashing people and act like the wisenheimer

I’ve been here 8 to 10 years, why would I shut up.

I’m not going anywhere.

I think you should start coming with useful informations instead of playing Wiseman here. Your record here speaks volumes.

I googled you, but unfortunately iam not that familiar with the german language but i will let a friends translate your rumblings, maybe there is a connection between stupid behaviour.

All i know is, you must be really really sad, cause some of your postings are from more then 4 years ago.

So its easy for you to hide behind a shield of hatred and bashing of new treatments like Hitzig/Cooley for example.

But i can tell you one thing some people are considering more agressive hairlines then before jus because of the late findings.

Shut up yourself. Nobody is asking for your opinion.

If you have something useful to post then post it.

Don’t be a smart ass telling people what to post and how to post.

You are not king of the world.

Neither is Minoxil or Propecia like you always advertise it here

Comparing this to cancer is like comparing apples to oranges.

Cancer is similar to AIDs in that there will always be cancer cells that survive any treatment, and with any treatment with natural selection will make it very difficult to cure Cancer or AIDs.

There is no selective pressure for Stem cells not to become progenitor cells, so its not like Cancer or AIDs.

A better comparison would be turning skin cells into Induced Pluripotent stem cells by changing genes with proteins or mRNA.

Probably not, since he’ll almost certainly be working for a larger company which will own the product of his work.
