If I knew of an agent that consistently grows hair in front of hair line, I would certainly be using it. Every effective treatment will regrow hair in front of a hairline in some persons. The problem is that no treatment will do this consistently, more than (say) 10-15% of the time, perhaps better if the area is not shiney yet. It also helps if the loss is less than 4-5 years old.

Avoid unreasonable expectations-- Think of medical treatment as a way to regrow hair up to the hair line and treat any regrowth in front of as a bonus, not a primary goal of therapy.

regrowing hair in shiny bald areas is extremely difficult
thinning areas is much more achievable

Buddy, there is nothing that grows hair in the temples. Its either a wig or a HT. I would suggest a HT, you will look much better.

Hey Dr. P, got any latest pics of your hair?

Last I saw your pics was probably 10 years ago and you had great hair.

well i regrew hair on my temples with a whole bunch of things, and probably dustasteride helped the most. topical dutasteride. but it was also growing breasts. so i stopped. i get to keep hair on my temples. but i need hair on the very front hairline now.

i guess only hope is to get on topical dutasteride again and grow some more breats and hair.

My hair line is still pretty much where it was. When I get aroundtoit, I’ll take some pics and post them.

Dr. Proctor, your the same doctor in Houston that diagonsed me with cancer over the phone in 1995? FYI I don’t have cancer thank God and still resent you charging me 100 dollars for a small vial of nothing. Thanks again. By my calculations that vial cost you less than 10 bucks.

Normally, I do not respond to trolls. It just encourages them. However, neither I nor any other physician would ever diagnose anybody for cancer “over the telephone”. In fact, such a diagnosis requires a pretty extensive workup, generally including a biopsy.
