HT repair

I had the plant with an unnamed Doc. I experianced the following problems after the procedure. I poor growth, 2’s and 3’s on the hairline and also ridging and pitting. My scar was not that great either, with one are straching to over half an inch or more. He never followed up after the procedure either.

The growth never really kicked in, I was qouted as getting 70CM2 grafts in zone 1 but it never reached that density. Maybe 20 at best grew. Also the hairline was too straight without much naturalness or the inclusion of a widows peak.

I was dissatisfied with the operation and the post op care. The Doc never contacted me after the operation was performed. It left me very self conscious about my hair, way more than before. I was and am always thinking that people are looking at my hair, or the mess that was left after the operation.

I am looking for some repair work, any ideas?

Can you label the pics ? I cant tell which ones are before and which are after.

I really want to give my honest opinion on repair options for you from a reputable time-tested repair doctor but I need a little more information.

  1. The picture with the grown out hair is AFTER the surgury? Yes or no?
  2. Can you divulve the doctor or give a hint so we can sort of understand what the doctor was trying to accomplish here?

Any or both of the questions answered would be much appreciated.

WOW, i am in the same situation that you are! I had a second operation about two years with the same results. I am very unhappy about the post op results. As well my doctor also provided zero aftercare. I can also say the the result is poor and I am looking into repair work myself. I find the hair thin. teh seond Ht was for density but that never happened. I also need some good info on doctors etc. Thanks!

Wow. That is quite puzzling. The hair line seems way too agressive. Is this one physician who does generally does strip? Also, are the photos taken before or after the surgery at the “unamed Doc’s” clinic?

hairworld2314,

Email me hairsite@aol.com and I will put you in touch with different doctors who might be able to help you. Also, I will need to know who did work on you and a little bit more background on your case.

Thanks.

I’m confused,

The grown out pic looks very good to me.

Is the goal to shave the head?

Thanks.

i cant tell which one is before and which one is after. i m assuming the shaved ones are before. He has so much hair, if he just go on some topicals and supplements i am sure he will get good results, why bother with a hair transplant?

Yes this thread is confusing.

Ok they are all from before any repair work has been done. The pics are with the area shaved down and without. That really shows that pics do lie. It looks like I got a great result but with the hair shaved down the truth really comes to the light. I want to get opinions on how I can improve my situation. I am not very happy at all.

These are all pics without any repair work.

Yes this is a Doc that does strip currently. They were taken at another Docs clinic. These pics were taken 1.5 years postop of a 2500 graft transplant.

So you are unhappy with all of the ridging and discoloration yes? And also I see a few larger grafts on the hairline. It would not be too hard to sort of soften the hairline and builing you a widows peak if that is what you are looking for. The discoloration and ridging might not be easy to correct because at this point you got good growth and I would not touch it. If you are always wanting to shave your head down then you will either need to use make up or deal with it.

IMO I like your result when compared to many others I have seen. IF I JUST HAD TO TWEEK THE HAIRLINE, then I would suggest Dr. Paul Rose in Florida and done by FUE. Maybe even GHI or Dr. Bisanga.

Yeah I am it sucks!

Re-read what I said I added to it. Also the scar can be filled in.

Why and how does ridging occur? Is it common? How do I know it won’t happen to me when I am ready to get something done? Can this be avoided?

Excellent question. Ridging can be caused by fat grafts. Actually there are a few reasons. But what is not predictable is who gets it or not. It does not happen all of the time but it can happen. May doctors trim the grafts down pretty good now days and this helps prevent some ridging.

Here are the grown out pics of the side that especially depressed me. .

No the growth on the temples was horrible. With it grown out you can’t tell, but with it shaved down u can tell what kind of growth I really got. I need more than a tweek I think.
