Histogen?

When are we expected to see Histogen start testing their product? Can anyone refresh my memory. If I’m not mistaken it was supposed to be soon. I think I recall the begging of 2011 in Asia. I’d certainly love to see that come to fruitation. I mean it seems like they have had alot of time now to get the ball rolling. Hopefully once it does it picks up momentum quickly. IMO, I think Histogen still seems like a good bet but then again that’s my opinion which is nothing more than a gamble. I swear though it’s exhausting, draining to keep in wait. I feel burned out on this whole hair thing but I have no choice but to keep in the loop as it’s something that is a fundamental need to me now. a need to us all…

PIIs starting Feb 2011 IIRC

Does anyone know if Histogen is testing there own ECM as a hair growth stimulant?

I guess they will also try a combination (HSC/ECM) thereof. Could probably make sense - I guess …

EXCERPT
“Histogen’s extracellular matrix has shown compelling results which have not been seen with any other single treatment to date. Not only does it have a positive effect on inducing a controlled cell death in multiple human cancer cell lines, it also targets cancer stem cells,” said Dr. Easter. “As a member of Histogen’s Scientific Advisory Board, I look forward to contributing to accelerating this unique and exciting potential treatment to the clinic.”

I believe that quote was in reference to cancer treatment (Oncology).

I’m still not too sure about the ACell thing… It probably works to a certain extent… but my hopes for histogen are equally high or even higher… I really hope this turns out… goooo histogen!

A full head of hair for max. $ 5,000 - THAT is your hope!

Am I right?

Or do you still hope for the super-duper one-time-pill-cure for just $1 ?
(Oh… sorry, THAT is the hope from another idiot from Germany …)

Anyway - I renounce of every comment on this …

Histogen, themselves, stated HSC would come at a $5,000 pricepoint. That’s allot of money for something that would produce meager results, so it stands to reason Histogen will have to refine their product’s efficacy until it yields substantial results for most patients.

Now, I’m not saying everyone should expect a full-head-of hair after the initial treatment, but there was talk, earlier, that Histogen could offer follow-up treatments at $1500. There was also talk of a shampoo.

I wish Histogen the best of luck this February.

I find the latest news rather encouraging. Their covering all the bases which leads me to believe they really got something. The fact that they added an oncologist to their board…

SAN DIEGO, November 18, 2010 - Histogen, Inc., a regenerative medicine company developing solutions based on the products of newborn cells grown under embryonic conditions, today announced the addition of respected surgeon and oncology specialist Dr. David Easter to the Company’s Scientific Advisory Board.

Currently a Professor of Clinical Surgery at University of California, San Diego, Dr. Easter is focused on surgical care and education, with special interests in surgical oncology, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, and laparoscopic surgery. Most recently, Dr. Easter served as Director of the Clinical Oncology Programs for the Rebecca and John Moores Cancer Center, where he organized the Center’s clinical and research efforts to provide the finest possible care for cancer patients.

“Dr. Easter’s research background and surgical expertise, particularly in the cancer field, will be a tremendous asset as Histogen progresses through preclinical, and later clinical, oncology work,” said Emmett Pinney, Histogen’s Director of Oncology and Special Projects. “Dr. Easter’s guidance will be critical to a shortened path to the clinic, and we are excited to welcome him to our Scientific Advisory Board.”

I am aware of the email replies saying feb 2011 is the start of phase 2 but this pdf (http://www.histogen.com/downloads/histogen_exe_summary_oct10.pdf) from a month ago says “Histogen has had a successful 25 patient pilot hair growth study and plans on starting a 50 patient Phase I/II study in Q4 2010.”
So who knows.

lol… i love how make random accusations… you just randomly pull some $1 miracle cure accusation from straight out of your ass… u seriously shld seek psychiatric help… all i said is that i am more hopeful for histogen than for ACell… one of the main reasons for this is that… Histogen wld regrow your natural hair… while Acell depends on the artistic skill of the surgeon… i would always prefer my original hair growing back as opposed to some artificially placed grafts… is that so hard to understand for another idiot from germany like you? why dont u go f*ck yourself.
