Histogen and transplanted hair

Do you guys think Histogen’s HSC will work the same on somebody who has had a transplant already? I remember there was some debate on this before but I wanted to see what everyone thinks now.

Histogen “revives” your natural follicles, as long as they dont get destroyed by anything they will come back.

The best case is a stupid ht surgeon who plants the grafts between old follicles

What do you mean exactly? A surgeon who transplants between existing follicles? Would that kill the follicles that are dormant below the skin?

Leeroy,

Do you think it would strengthen the transplanted follicles plus awaken the ones that go dormant or have gone dormant after your surgery therefore a transplant wouldn’t really change how effective the treatment is right? Sorry for these questions, just want to get some insight.

First iam just making assumptions out of logic so iam not a god under HM researchers, but the important Thing for Histogen to work are INTACT follicles.

They “Awaken” dormant ones yes thats true.

A transplant will change the effectiveness in the way of " How many dormant follicles were destroyed in the hair transplant process"

But a hair transplant WONT i REPEAT WONT Effect the Histogen procedure at all the only thing here is how many hairs there will be.

Someone who hasnt got a hairtransplant can revive more follicles then someone who had a hair transplant, it all comes down to destroyed follicles.

And to answer your further question, YES you can combind Histogen and Hairtransplants, thats actually what a crapload of people are going to plan

Thanks Leeroy, I haven’t gotten a transplant yet but I really want to get one and go for an aggresive hairline and fill in the frontal third maybe a little into the crown but I’m nervous about making that move down the line but I figure with the emerging techniques it’s not too dangerous of a move to make at this point. Thanks for the responses.

You are wrong. If you check Histogens page you will see that they are creating brand new follicles also. And that`s very good because if you have been bald for a long time the old follicles might be dead, or the follicles may be destroyed for some other reason.

Nope not new follicles first they revive your old follicles. To create “brand new follicles” is right now impossible. Dont get carried away by follicles and hairs.

If they would create follicles, they MUST also create blood vessels for every follicle etc etc

What about what Aderans is working on? That seems like a way to create brand new follicles.

Histogen, Inc., a regenerative medicine company developing solutions based on the products of newborn fibroblasts grown under embryonic conditions, has recently released data from the 12 week timepoint of the Company’s first human clinical evaluation of ReGenicaTM for hair regrowth. This clinical trial is the first time that a single application of a treatment has shown an increase in new follicles, thickness of existing hairs, and number of hairs in pre-existing follicles, in a human study.

ReGenica, a proprietary liquid containing naturally secreted embryonic proteins and growth factors, is the first naturally stabilized and bioactive formulation of Wnt proteins and natural cofactors, which have been implicated in the formation of new hair follicles.
