Hi Everyone

I thought that too when the guy never commented back…I could only imagine how pathetic somebody’s life must be if they can get enjoyment out of screwing with people on a hairloss forum…LOL…

Humiliated, you can minimize scars by doing gentle chemical peels and regularly using Folligen on your head. That should greatly improve the scars, if you need more info let me know.

never understood what people meant by “strip scars”…

first, why keep your hair in back so short that the scars show?

isn’t that defeating the purpose?

can’t you just grow the hair out a little to cover up the scars?

unless you don’t have enough hair back there anymore, from over harvesting of transplant hair, which also would have defeated the whole purpose of getting the transplants in the first place.

second, i see guys walking around who have obviously had brain surgery, with big, visible scars on their scalp. and they keep their hair buzzed really short, so that the scars show.

but these guys aren’t thinking of killing themselves or whatever. (i am just guessing, but since they’re not wearing baseball caps or hair pieces, i think it’s a reasonable guess).

not that i’m diminishing your own suffering, but come on, keep things in perspective.

lots of people suffer with disfigurements.

i dated a beautiful girl who had her abdomen disfigured in an operation with bad scars on it. she was really ashamed of it, because she thought men wouldn’t find it attractive. but we had sex anyway and this wasn’t the foremost thing on my mind. and she had sex with other guys, both before and after me. so having scars wasn’t the end of the world for her.

there are people who walk around with bad scars on their faces, and they just live life… they have relationships, partners, sex, etc. and don’t think of this 24/7. and i mean both women and men with bad scars on their FACES, not the back of their heads.

so i don’t see how having some scars on the BACK of your head f*cks up your whole life irreparably… there are worse things that can happen. at least the scar isn’t on your face.

I’ve had strip surgery and have a strip scar on the back of my head. I can’t see it at all (although I don’t keep my hair that short). I’ve had it cut pretty short (but not buzzed) and could not see it at all. It doesn’t bother me at all. I guess if I had my choice I would rather not have it…but I don’t see what the big deal is. This guy’s case may be much worse.

Take Care,
Bill

Based on the nasty personal attacks he received from the initial posters,I am not surprised by his lack of response.I only hope he hasn’t done something drastic as a result of the need some people here have to be so cruel.
A bigger man will always turn the other cheek rather than be so thoughtless & cruel.

After Follica repairs people’s physical trauma,I just hope that a psychiatrist will then be able to repair the psychological trauma that has such a devastating impact on these people’s lives.

dude if you believe this poster was serious you must be easy to fool in real life
his post was a classic tongue in cheek exaggerated post which would inspire guys to talk…he accomplished his goal

I do not know if the original post is a scam or not, but it highlights a problem that continually recurs here - people constantly embarrassed about their looks due to hair loss.
I know hair loss sucks and that we would all feel better if we could fix it - but people are NOT continually thinking about your hair - the truth is NOBODY REALLY GIVES A DAMN ! They are too busy worrying about their own problems.

There are plenty of guys who have hair loss who do well, this is because they sort out the things that can be fixed (athletic body, tan etc.) and then act like they do not give a flying french f*kc about their hair loss - they act with confidence.

Try it - it just works.

I’ve seen posts like this before… and as much as I’m willing to entertain the post was a hoax… I rather be labeled a fool just in case it was genuine.

1000 years ago you might get your nose hacked off in a battle. Then they’d have to cauterize the wound by burning it with a hot iron. It would heal up into a very ugly, messy, twisted lump of scar tissue. There is a good chance you would be stuck breathing through your mouth (and probably losing most of your sense of smell and taste) for the rest of your life.

If you didn’t die of the infection, then this would not have been considered a very big deal.

Q. Are we all just wussies for caring about receeding temple hairlines and thinning crown spots?

A. There is no set measuring chart for what’s worthy of being an emotional or social handicap.

It’s all perceptions. The only thing that’s REAL is what it’s doing to the person who is dealing with it. Both his own feelings and the reactions of those around him.

We have a pretty slight amount of business taking educated guesses at how much someone’s baldness is affecting other people looking it. We have NO business judging how the issue “should be” affecting the person himself.
