Just remember, even if somebody’s hair is “worse” after they begin Propecia, there is no knowing how much more worse it would be if they didn’t do Propecia.

We’re told by Merck that the incidence of side effects is 1-2% (if you actually believe that).

But my point is, the number of guys who feel that Propecia actually worsened their hair seems to be a MUCH smaller number than those who get side effects. So it’s probably a pretty damn small fraction of the total.
