why can’t a person have sex after a ht?
I believe it may have to do with straining or exertion!!

Many said ht is no worse than going to the dentist, unless that was a lie, I still see no reason why I cannot have sex after ht.

It also depends on whether it is strip or fue. After my surgery (strip), my strip scar was so tender and so tight that I couldn’t even turn my neck properly until weeks later, so there you go, sex was out of the question.

I understand the tenderness in donor strip scar can be a factor…but what about recipient area,can sex because of the effort involved make the transplanted grafts pop out??-This holds true both for FUE or FUHT.
it would be great to know if there is any recomended waiting peroid!!
its been mentioned before you should avoid profuse sweating a few weeks after an HT, or longer, i forgot how long.

I checked from other forums and though the opinions vary,i personelly feel a couple of days lay off is all that is required,definately not weeks!! A Physicians’ opinion from forum though would be great!!
I took a couple of days off after my strip procedure. Then eased back into it. Just use common sense guys.
Agree with Pats. There is no definitive timeline. However, I would wait until the swelling and redness fade away.

Having had many HT procedures, I’ve had experience with this.

It all depends if you or your partner is doing most of the “straining or exertion”. : D

If you’re having a strip procedure, I’d wait until your stitches or staples are removed. FUE, a week should be more than enough time.
Don’t risk your investment because you couldn’t be the ‘master of your domain’ for a few days.

I would wait a minimum of two weeks. Your partner needs to be very understanding of the situation.

u must be refering to jerkin off, in that case wait till ure scabs fall off and/or stiches are all removed and totally healed up.

True,with a scalp full of scabs person could end up looking like a freak!!!bt i was talking bout sex.
