Guys! finally taking the plunge..01-June with Dr. Hasson

That’s right, after almost 2.5 years of research I’ve decided to get a HT with Dr. Hasson.

I’m booked for June 1st and I’m hoping to get as many grafts as possible.

Thanks to Joe and other staff at H&W for their help up-till now. These guys are really professional and to the point from day one.

I’d like to post some pictures before going to Vancouver and intend to keep everyone updated as my new do grows in.

How bad is your loss at the moment?

If you’re going with strip, I wouldn’t choose another surgeon on this planet over Hasson & Wong. And indeed Joe is great, I’ve corresponded with him in the past and I appreciate his non-pushy non-agressive salesman approach. He got my vote. I persoanlly like him and Pats because I think they’re both genuine dudes.

Best of luck and keep us posted. When you determine the number of grafts you’re getting pls post a pic of your current “head” lol.

@MJ: I been classified as NW6 by Dr. Hasson and that should explain the reason for me to choose strip.

Do you scalp exercises, they really help provide extra laxity and should help with how many grafts you can get.

How are you going to pay for it if you don’t know in advance how many grafts and how much you need to have available for the procedure? You plan to put everything on your credit card ?

You pay some (more than 60% of your estimated graft count) amount as a deposit prior to the surgery and the balance on the day of the surgery once the exact number of grafts is known.

This was all done online. I am meeting Dr. Hasson just a day before my surgery i.e. tomorrow. My surgery is schedule for 1-June-2010. Wish me a luck.

Hey 2Sar i wish you the best of luck.Please keep us updated with your progress because i see that you have sides from propecia so it seems like you are one of the few who have a transplant and dont use propecia.

It will be really interesting for me to see your progress because i cannot use propecia and that puts me off from having a transplant. Tell me when u used propecia did you have good results from it?

I think the guy is making a serious mistake.

Anyone above norwood 4 is too bald to consider a hair transplant.

Strip surgery is bad enough. Doing strip on a nw6 patient is crazy.
