FUE into Strip scar

I have a really good Tryco strip scar that I am thinking about putting FUE into at sometime in the future. If I got an excellent yield from the FUE into the scar, how noticeable do you think the scar would be if it were shaved down? Pats205, Bspot( BY the way I think your solid as well) What do you guys think ? Everybody please chime in and let me know what you think.

I am thinking about doing the same thing, it seems that beard hair is perfect for that, Rooster did it with Umar, search the forum for his pics, he posted an update about a month ago.

From my understanding you will be able to get away as long as you have “some” hair. So if you buzz down to #2 or #1 the scar should be hidden. But I know you can’t shave it because your scar will become visible again.

I understand what you are saying MJ. I am kind of hoping that putting FUE into a thin scar would make it blend in with the rest of the stuble when it is shaved down.

The scar looked much better after the second procedure. Those are some pretty promising results there. Thanx for posting those pics.

Good to know, thanks for posting these fue in strip scar pics, I haven’t seen them before.

Also found this one in the archives, great video showing FUE into strip scar results. Dr. Umar’s patient. BEARD hair as donor. Near elimination of strip scar.

I have seen that video before it looks pretty nice. But the hair is pretty long in the after results; wish the hair were cut a little shorter like the before results. I think even with a scar, a patient can have it concealed witht he amount of hair there was showing in the video in the 6-9 months
post-surgery shots.

There you go, you save a bundle $$$ getting strip first and if the scar widens, then put FUE grafts in the scar. You can probably save as much as 50% $$$ without compromising anything.

I will locate other patients’ pictures that have used beard hair in scar tissue successfully.

This picture shows another excellent hair growth in strip scar. Patient visited us for a scalp + beard FUSE graft procedure. As a matter of policy, we give complimentary beard hair graft to such patients to help them evaluate the beard hair growth in previous strip scar.

hey, I would recommend the FUE procedure simply because it doesn’t leave a scar which was a huge appeal for me

The video (and not the pictures), shows a deliberate slow comb-through in the 2 strip scar areas at highly closeup views shot with our HD video camera. If you watch the video, you would find that this manouver demonstates quite effectively and unambigously the complete elimination of the appearance of the 2 strip scars. The process was so complete to the extent that my assistant who did the comb-through during the video shoot and another patient who ironically was undergoing the same type of procedure (on that day)could not find the scar with the naked eye and a comb. They simply could not believe there was a scar problem to begin with. This patient could have gotten away with a #1-2 haircut without a problem. But patients sometime do take a while to psychologically adjust to even positive changes post procedure. But the patient’s words in the video speaks to his level of satisfaction.
