Follica raises 7.5m more in funding

That interview with Daphne Zohar is 2 years old.
It used to be on brightcove.tv

For those of you who think Follica may have put the hair loss treatment on the back burner, I saw this posted on xconomy, Daphne Zohar has confirmed that Follica’s lead clinical program is a treatment for androgenetic alopecia. It looks like she has a twitter account and has been bombarded by angry bald men, so I expect she won’t be using twitter much anymore.

I really don’t understand why they didn’t make this clear when they announced more funding.

Good find!

I think you have to have a twitter account, I don’t so I haven’t seen the chat room.

lol. “Angry bald men” - isn’t that redundant?

I have twitter…still don’t see any chat room option.

Jezzzuz man, I feel bad for her though. Thats nuts regardless of what are thoughts about her and follica were she didn’t deserve to lashed out at like that on her Twitter account. I swear I wasn’t one of the people who was libel to her on her Twitter. I don’t even have a Twitter account and I don’t think thats the right place to do something like that. I just found out about this today… and now I actually kinda regret what I said about her here on HS. :frowning: I mean she is human and still deserves to be treated good. That is her personal account which is intended primary for socializing not business. Damn o well I have no control over other peoples actions but they should have enough common sense to realize thats gonna end up being a double-edge sword.

Yeah that’s a little too far. I gripe about the researchers comments sometimes, but I’m not gonna start prank-calling their home telephone over it.

It just goes to show how much bottled up emotion is really out there because of baldness.

I don’t really know where the people are commenting then.

Like others have said I personally don’t think it’s right thing to do, but it is an emotive issue for a lot of people. It could be as many women as men questioning her for all we know.

This is from her tweeter page:

*  Nombre Daphne Zohar
* Ubicación Boston, MA
* Web http://www.purete...
* Bio Founder & Managing Partner, PureTech Ventures
 <strong>Things are not what they appear to be: nor are they otherwise. Surangama Sutra

This seems to confirm that this woman is a charlatan, who likes to play tricks and fool people with ambiguities and word games. It seems that, for Zohar, the truth doesn’t exist.

Well, for me, the truth exists. Either Zohar is a liar or not. And it seems that she is.

And for those who are worried about people attacking her in her personal private tweeter account, worry no more. In the title, she is advertising his company, so this is not a personal account, but a business account, so to speak, and business issues can be discussed there (I think).

It’s just a quote SD, I’m sure we all have quotes that we like that could be interpreted in many ways, it doesn’t mean she’s deliberately trying to mislead everyone.

I don’t think anyone involved at Follica was expecting this much interest from the public, they should have expected it because the reason they started this in the first place was because they saw a gap in the market that they could exploit , they don’t seem to understand just how desperate many men, women and children are for something that works to help them. They wanted to treat this like any other business venture where the public don’t care until the product is hitting the market but that’s impossible with things like this imo.

  1. Where is the “proof of concept trial” that was suppossed to be taking just a few months, (with approval easy as cake because all the drugs were already by FDA-approved)? This was promised 3 years ago. Was there any delay? Has Zohar apologized for the delay? No?

  2. That quote is quite significant. For someone who is suspicious of lying, favoriting that quote is irresponsible or simply a pure provocation.

  3. Yes, I am a lunatic. Much better than being a retard.
