Follica is NOT dead yet!

Obviously, like everyone else here I’m only guessing, but I think you’re right - 5 years to never for release. Realistically? Yeah, I can imagine 8 years for a commercialised product that is safe and can be reliably offered to customers.

But the last couple of years will be full of tasty tit-bits like, “It definitely works - look at all the hundreds of pictures!” and “It’ll be released in October!” etc, so they’ll fly by.

yes, but it would be if everything goes well … For people of 30yo and more it’s gone the wind … who cares to have a full head of hair when you’re old ? How do i really care having back my hair when i’m married with children and 45 yo. Hair matters but it really matters when you’re in your twenties.
I came to this forum in 2003 at the age of 25, been balding since 18 i guess. Let me retrace the wonderful experienced we had since :

  • I remember first having hopes on topicals (for ex. Lion corp stuff, i don’t even remember the name of the shyt), then what,

  • the Gho experiement claiming HM would be here in holland in 2006. He followed earlier steps of Jahoda and other researchers. Gho ended up bankrupting his own clinic or something. Selling crappy old school fue with so so statistics claiming regrowth of donor area. Up your arse, commercial argumentation. I heard some people on the forum were having hopes for the gho hm since 1996.

  • Then again rollercoaster baby, hopes several month later with the Bazan experiment, who ended up in a total joke. Posting video of his arse hair growing in a dish, funny thing though.

-Then more serious things emerged, from bigger firms, came up with patents from there and there like Sisheido, etc.

  • Then the bioscaffold stuff from Aderans Research in 2002, saying HM in … 5 years, that would have been in 2007. We’re in 2009 soon and this company is gone into hyperspace.

  • Wow. I forgot to mention that i finally really had my hopes up - like everybody - on Intercytex and their trials … on five person who from the most of them “got lost somewhere in the UK”. Ended up in a failure with abandon denial etc, etc.

  • Well, well, now we see Acell who i personnaly think is somehow a scam. Except if you’re a dog loosing your foot hairs due to whatever you did with it.

  • Then Foolica, seems legit to me, but hey, that’s far away and nothing indicates it would work before many decades.

i’ve grown old and got bald, and i’m also getting delusional those days. But i guess it’s an age thing. This all hm thing is coming, but damn too f. slowly for me. Anyway, still enjoy life in the mean time but i would damn have enjoyed the hair with it.

ok, that was a looser post. Cheers anyway and get lost people

Fatal…I’ve been here for most of those years too. I can relate to the disappointment. I’m 38 and sick of waiting…I agree that as you get older, hairloss may get a LITTLE easier, but it still sucks.

As far as Acell being a scam, I assure you that it is not. It may or may not regrow hair, but it definately is not a scam. I contacted them about using it for hairloss (regenerating removed donor tissue and hair) and they seemed to think that it MIGHT work. Obviously, a few doctors are curious about it too. Hopefully, at the very least, it eliminates scars. I’m hoping for limitless donor hair, but only time will tell. One thing that I don’t want to do here is build up false hopes and make any statements that this stuff will work…I’ll only say that it MIGHT work. I don’t want to be like Nathan or The Game and build up people’s hopes only to let them down. But, as I’ve said before it is not a scam…because they are making no claims.

I just REALLY hope that it works because I’m REALLY sick of hearing about “five years away”.

Take Care,
Bill

Why all of a sudden people are saying Acell will not work? We don’t know one way or another, aren’t we waiting for the verdict from hair transplant doctors? Am I missing something, why all of a sudden we are writing off Acell

No Steve, you didn’t miss anything. We are still waiting for the verdict from HT doctors. Many people are convinced that it will not work. It may or may not…time will tell.
