Dr. Wong Patient, 7218 Grafts, Two Sessions- The Video

Gentlemen,

This patient came in this past Friday to show Dr. Wong his results after ten months from his second procedure. The video shows his results from two procedures for a total of 7218 grafts.

Dr. Wong Hair Transplant Patient, Two Sessions, 7218 Grafts

Come on Joe, this is bull!

This guy was totally bald and now has a full natural looking well angled front and crown head of hair and virtually no donor scar even though he had 7000 grafts by strip.

I looked closely by zooming in and he is, in fact a melon.:stuck_out_tongue:

Even stranger, he must be a melon that is over the moon.

Hahahaha! Actually, this is his brother. My “patient” was Melon Head. His brother, presented above, is Harry Head:)

Outstanding!! I know that there are a lot of people who think strip is “silly”, but I dare anyone to show me an FUE result that compares to this.

JT, it looks like this guy had all the components for a successful transplant 1) good hair to skin contrast, 2) good density (what was it), and 3) thick quality hair.

BTW, that is a just a flat out incredible result.

That is an honest presentation that showed the hair from all angles. That is all one can ask for. H and W are indeed very good at performing strip transplants, and obviously fade their work very naturally. I give credit where its due.

I cant see the video. Do have any still pics?

Bubbles,

Make sure you have the latest version of Flash.

Download it here…

Adobe Flash v.9

This should take care of the issue.

Can I ask approx how old is this patient?

Amazing result. He looks like a totally different guy now. Its amazing how hair can change how you look. Hey Joe how many grafts would he have left to play with?

Johnny,

He probably has about 2000 left in the bank especially if he starts to exercise his scalp.

The work is fantastic as usual although I am not sure if I want that much hair in my 60s.

The results looks good but they also show how HT is just the tree that hides the forest. The guy may be lucky to be 62 because his hairloss stabilized, and he might be lucky too that his HT has not been done by his regular meat provider, nonetheless, HT is no cure and sounds like vintage to me.

Looking at the results, the only thing i can say is that the client was well prepared to show his nice results (will he look the same two hours later after showering and lookin in the bathroom mirror ? I doubt it) : post op photos are taken with cool ambiant highlighting of the room, and the guy has been somehow hairbrushed, etc. In contrast, the pre-op photos where taken with full lights, so as to perfectly see the nice, evil, bald spot. What more can i say ? Everytime i look at HT pics i have the same feelings, invariably, over and over : at first sight it’s “hey, nice job”, then a second later it’s “HT solves just about nothing regarding to hairloss”.

Nice artpiece anyway, & no harm, those are just my personal feelings towards HT. I’ll definitly never be no candidate for this limited procedure.

cheers

You ungratefull scum sucking chanchre infested troll of the devil, you.

Fatal,

If you have not had a HT and are looking into getting one, then come to Vancouver and meet this patient. He is local and happy to share his results. It’s the real deal. This video was not shot with soft lighting. On the contrary, it was shot with the worst lighting one can have indoors. Overhead fluorescent lighting. It shows all the flaws.

I hear you man but if you are like me who had tried all lotions and potions with no success, hair transplant is your last remaining hope. It has tons of limitations but it sure beats going bald in front of the mirror. I am not thrilled with what I got but I still think it was the right decision at that time.

Now that is some solid strip work.
This gentleman should be dancing in the streets!

Quite a transformation.
Excellent coverage, yield and hairline design, IMHO.

With his coloring, he can get away with a little scalp showing and still look like a NW1 from almost every angle. He is lucky guy in that regard. My skin is pale and my hair is black.

If I had a virgin head, couldn’t afford FUE and didn’t want to buzz my hair too short, H&W would be the way to go, IMO.

I DON’T mean that as any kind of back handed compliment either.
From 1992-2002 I had 16 strips and am very lucky to be in as good shape as I am currently.
Since then, I had my hairline repaired/enhanced with BHT.

Anyway, H&W seem to produce consistently good results from what I’ve seen on the web for the last few years. Armani posts some very “sexy” hair pictures, but I haven’t seen as many high-to-low NW transformations from them as H&W on the web.

Again, this type of result is the good part of why we are all here, IMHO.
Now, we can go round and round about FUE vs. strip but we’ve all been there, done that.

He looks about 20 years younger and very natural from what I can see on the video.

Kudos.

P.S. Looking forward to seeing how someone will criticize this result outside of it being strip.

O.K, I’ll do my best. … He does seem to have hair fibres thick enough to support the complete weight of a cable car so this great result might not be possible for all. That’s as good as I can do.

Thanks for the invitation. I admit the patient results are very good but, imo, they are not representative of the results one can expect with an HT (ignoring the fact he had two procedures and has curly hair). Regarding the lighting, from my point of view blue mate backgroung tends to render the scene cooler, but maybe that’s just me. Anyway, as i said, nice artpiece. In general, I still think HT is not an option, although it might be adapted for a minority.
